"Hyehyun left early this morning, nagpaalam sya sakin. Now, where's Isabelle?" tanong ni Daddy pagkarating nya dito sa dining table.
Mom just shrugged. "Nagkukulong na naman yun sa kwarto nya. Anyways, let's eat. Bababa nalang yun mamaya kapag nagutom sya."
Well, I know what happened between Mom and Sabel last night. It's not good to eavesdrop but I can't help it. Alam kong hindi magkasundo si Sabel at si Mommy since then. I was just worried for the both of them that time.
"I want you to take over our company as soon as possible, Guanlin." Dad suddenly spoke habang kumakain kami.
Napahinto ako sa pagkain. "Why all of a sudden, Dad?"
"You know, I'm getting older and older as the days pass by, my son. You're aware with my health condition, aren't you?" Dad said as he drink his coffee.
Yes, I am aware that he has this heart disease and anytime soon, pwede syang atakihin sa puso at mamatay.
"Well, do I have a choice when I'm your only successor?" I answered back as I finish my breakfast.
"It's settled, then. After you graduate in highschool, you'll automatically be the acting CEO of our company. It's your training, son. I'll just watch over your work."
Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. May magagawa pa ba ako?
"Dad, I wanna go back in Taiwan." Sabel furiously went downstairs and appear on the dining with this request.
"What's with the sudden petition, Isabelle?" Dad asked her.
"I wanna go back home." Sabel said emotionlessly.
"But it's your home, darling." I interfere.
She just gave me a blank stare. "If you're in Taipei, aren't you going to beg to go back home in Seoul?"
"Why do you wanna go back in Taipei anyways?" I asked her.
Nag-iwas sya ng tingin. Something's wrong. I know.
Tumayo ako at hinila ko ang braso ni Sabel. "Let's talk outside."
