Jason's pov

George was running tests, asking me all kinds of questions. Most of whom I didn't know the answer to. My fear spiked up when he asked how many times I've gone dark. "I'm not for sure. I know at least once. Cause I blacked out and woke up with three bloody bodies in front of me with no recollection of the night before." I say nervously. "Your skin is almost white. You're getting worse." I stare at him worried. "I w-was wanting to ask you about that. So it's cause of the-" "Yes the darkness inside you is growing stronger. It will consume you if you let it. You mustn't let It, Jason. Do you hear me? You have to fight it like your life depends on it." He says, urgently, his hands on my shoulders. "No. Actually you have to fight like her life depends on it!" Of course I know who he's talking about. I'm shaking and terrified and I know she knows because she asks in my head if everything is okay. I don't reply. "If it comes down to it, George please kill me." He sighs. "If it comes down to it, none of us will be able to. The only way we could kill you is to kill Miranda." That sends another bout of fear through my body. I cover my eyes. "I don't want to be a monster." "There's nothing I can do. There is no cure for the darkness." "You don't want to be cured. You love the rush of power the darkness gives." I shakily stand up. "No! I don't!" I scream. "The darkness is here to help. It makes you stronger, more capable to survive this harsh existence." "No! No! Get... Outta my head!" "Jason, give in to the darkness. Be free of the fear." Free of the fear? My eyes go wide. "Jason! No come back to me!" George panickingly yells but it's as if he's speaking through a tunnel. "I don't... Want... To be.... Afraid.... Anymore." I shakily whisper. "Yes. That's it. Give in to the darkness. No more fear. Only victory." I can feel heat rising in me. "No more fear. Only.... Victory." I whisper. My hands involuntarily light up with flames. I hear someone scream for Andy.

Andy's pov

Shit! I rush into the room as fast as I can. "The darkness is trying to win him over. He's stuck in between the two realms." George exclaims. "What do I do?" I gasp worried. His fists clench. "No more fear..... Only.... Victory." He whispers, his hands flaming up. He turns around, his hair black but his eyes still green. He shuts them tight. When he opens them, it's like pools of lava. "Where's Jamie?" Oh no. "You won't get to her." I say, blocking the door. "You can try but you can't stop me." He shoots a fire blast. I call for someone to put it out. I run at him and grab his hands in mine, forcing him backwards. He grits his teeth and pushes me! He shoves me backward. "H-How... How'd you-" "The darkness has it's perks." He says with one of the evilest looking smiles ever. Suddenly the smile fades and he looks angry. I take a shaky step back. "Jason, please I know you don't want to be this way!! Please you've got to fight it!" I shout desperate. He laughs. "Your pleas fall on deaf ears, boy."

Miranda's pov

He's not responding and I'm getting worried. I go inside to see what's up. I knock on George's door. "Everything okay in here?" I hear an evil laugh and my blood runs cold. I yank open the door. "Shit!" I gasp, my hands shaking with fear. "What're you doing here?" He growls, glaring at me. "What's your God damned problem?!" I snap, crossing my arms. George and Andy look at me shocked. "You make me weak and I hate myself for it." He says, clenching his fists and shoving Andy backwards. He stomps over to me. "If I didn't foolishly marry you, I'd kill you where you stand!" He whispers, inches from my face. A mixture of anger and sadness rushes through me. "Liar." I say, wiping the tears that fill my eyes. He laughs. "Pathetic. That's why the darkness is so much better. You wouldn't have to worry about emotions ruining you!" "Emotions don't ruin someone!! They make them human!" I shout, angrily clenching my fists. He laughs. "Human?! Human?! Girl, you aren't a human!!! None of us are!!" He says, waving a hand around the room. "No the difference between you and me, I used to be human. You were always a vampire." "Your point is?" He asks, looking annoyed. "My point is, your emotions make you better. It makes you be who you were before!" "Are you done?" He asks, crossing his arms. I glare at him. "Yeah I'm done." I whisper looking away. "Good, now be a dear and tell Jamie I need her." "I wish I never even met you." I say, my stomach twisting in knots." I turn around and see sword on the wall. I turn invisible. "What the?! What're you doing?" He shouts from behind me. I grab the sword and become visible again. "What're you doing with that?" He looks scared. "I'm saving you, Jason." I say, readying the sword. "No! Don't!" He cries, terrified. "If you kill yourself, I'll die too!" He gasps, desperate. "Exactly." I say, tears rolling down my face. "I'll set you free." I whimper. "No baby! Don't! Please don't!" Surprise fills me. He sounds like my Jason. I make the stupid move to hesitate and he lunges at me. Horror fills me when the sword slams into his chest. A shocked horrified expression on his face. "I'm sorry." I whimper, shoving it harder. He falls backward and I shove the sword as hard as I can. A solid black shadow shoots into the air and a loud high pitched whistle is heard. His hair is back to brown. "You.... You drove out the darkness." George shakily says. I drop the sword and George tries to patch the wound. "What do you mean?" I whimper. Andy hugs me. "The black shadow.... He's.... He won't be able to turn evil again." I start to cry with happiness but then feel light-headed. "An..... Andy." I whisper losing consciousness.

Andy's pov

"If I can't save him, they'll both die." George says, sitting Jason up and winding gauze around him. I set her down and rush over. "How can I help?" "Get me a white bottle with a black cork. It's a healing powder I've been working to perfect." He hands me a large key and points at the bookshelf. "Just turn the dial." I do what he says while he holds pressure to the wound. There's a whole magicks room with books and random ingredients I find the bottle and run back to George. "You have to mix it with blood from a human." Shit. "Hurry. We don't have much time." I desperately run outside, my panic at an all time high. I run as fast as I possibly can and grab the first person I see. I trance him and cut his arm enough to get blood. "I'll save you brother." I whisper, determined.
