Jason's pov

I was backed into a wall freaked out. Seeing someone else dark is bone chilling. I notice the girl that started this mess dead against the wall. "W-Who..." I mumble, caught off guard. "I had to. It was the only way but I wasn't fast enough." He growls, walking over. "N-No! Wait! I.... She wouldn't want this!" He glares at me enraged. "I don't care. She's dead!" He yells, slashing me with a knife. "Crap!" I shout, grabbing my arm. "Luca wait! Please ya gotta understand man! We were going to go out together! I didn't kill her!! My friends stopped me from killing myself!" He laughs. "Do you really think I'd care about technicalities?! Shut the fuck up!" He yells, diving at me with the knife but I roll out of the way. I run for the door but he teleports in between and laughs in my face. "Nice try bucko." He says, running at me and shoving me back against the wall. Fury builds up in me. I'm not going to deal with this for all eternity! I blast him with fire. The room we're in starts burning too. "Shit!" He gasps. I grab his arm and make him extremely heavy. "W-What?! I can't move!" He shouts. I run out of the room and fall to my knees exhausted. What do I do now? Everything slowly goes dark.

*A few hours later*

I hear loud shouting. I barely have time for my eyes to adjust to the solid white room. "W-Where-" A guy in a lab coat walks by. What's going on?! "Relax sir you were uninjured." A voice beside me says. "Huh?" I gape confused. "What.... What do you m-mean?" "The fire. We found you unconscious outside. You're very anemic. I've never seen a case this bad. I'm surprised you're not dead." He says matter of factly. "Huh? What does that mean?" I gape, sitting up. "Anemic means low iron in your blood." Oh. Well no shit. That's why I gotta feed because vampires don't have iron in their blood. "I'm fine doc. I gotta go." I say, taking the blanket off. "You won't be able to walk five steps with how low your iron count is." He says, setting a hand on my shoulder as I try to stand up. "Dude you can't help me. Trust me." He looks at me determined. "I've never failed a patient and I won't start now!" Ugh. "I'll get you on an iron supplement regiment. You'll be better in no time." God how can I explain this?! How the heck am I gonna get out of this?!

*A few hours later*

They won't let me leave. I've tried and I can't use my powers or I'll have cops and probably scientists on my ass. But what can I do? These stupid supplements obviously won't do a damn thing. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Despite my adamant protests, the doctor assigned to me checked me into a room. "Can I borrow a phone. I need to tell my family what's up." He looks worried. "I will bring you a phone but please you need to stay here. I know you don't want to but it's what is best for you." I glare at him annoyed. He reluctantly leaves. I've tried telepathically calling to them but I haven't gotten a response. He thankfully comes back with a phone and I call George. "Hey George."  "Jason thank God!" He says, sounding out of breath. "Where are you?" "I.... Uh there was this fire." I mumble nervously glancing at the doctor. "I was.... This doctor guy found me passed out and he's told me I'm anemic. Low iron, yeah?" I say hoping he'll catch on. "What the heck? Jason? What's going on?" Ugh. "I need you to come up to the hospital on Regent street. That's where I am. Room 96." I say frustrated. George is so confused. "Ok." He says slowly. "But you better explain yourself!" He hangs up. "Thanks." I say handing it back to him. He leaves and ten minutes later George and Andy show up. "What on Earth happened?" "Well this is kinda embarrassing but after Luca kidnapped me, I set his place on fire and passed out. The EMTs brought me here and they think I'm anemic because of low iron." Andy rolled his eyes and laughed. "Oh jeez! I can't believe... Only you Jason!" He says. I glare at him annoyed. "They won't let me leave." "Lord this is a mess." George says frustrated. They look at each other quietly all of a sudden and I realize they're talking telepathically. "I'll go talk to the doctor." George said walking out. What the heck were they talking about? "Hey Jase how... How are ya feelin' now?" What's he talking about? "What do you mean?" I gape. "You... You uh don't still wanna kill yourself?" I glare at him angrily. "Yes. My girl is dead. I fucking killed her and promised I'd be with her. And now she's dead I'm still alive. I was supposed to die that day!" "No way!" He says standing up. "No you've got such a great life ahead of you. Ya just gotta realize this life isn't for the faint of heart. She wouldn't have lasted long." "That's just it Andy. I don't want to live this life. Especially not without my girl." He sighs. "Give me a month to show you that this life is actually worth living. If I fail, I won't stop you from killing yourself." He says shocking me. "R-Really?" I gape surprised. He nods, looking scared. "But you have to give me the month to change your mind. Please Jason, I don't want to lose you. And I... I won't go down without a fight." I force a nervous smile. I highly doubt he will convince me that being a vampire is better than being with the girl I love but he says he won't stop me after a month so I'll do it. "Ok Andy. One month."
