A/N

This is the first day in Australia, hope y'all like it S x

Our first day in Australia was drawing to a close when I woke up from jetlag. Sarah wasn't in the bed, but I could see her outline by the window, watching the sun set into the sea. She was chatting with Tamara and the boys, but soon noticed I was up.

"Hey Brad, we were just saying about going to the beach. None of us can sleep and it looks really fun." she said.

"Ok, let's go." I said. James and I bought our guitars and the girls threw some stuff in a bag and we left.

Our bus was parked near the beach so it wasn't much of a walk and it was basically empty when we got there, just the remains of a campfire and a few last minute surfers.

"Let's try and keep this fire going," said James. We all feebly chucked driftwood on it and it started up again.

"Right, well I'm going for a swim." said Sarah.

"You know you get sharks in Australia right? And riptides." said Tamara.

"Then I'm in." said Connor. He and Sarah quickly got changed.

"Race you in." she said, running up the beach.

"Hey no fair, you got a head start." said Con, sprinting after her. I laughed and watched her in the waves. She waded out about waist deep and then started a splash war with Connor. Watching them was quite funny as Connor was clearly the superior splasher and Sarah was refusing to give up.

"Yay, fire!" said Tristan. They had really got it going now, the flames crackling in the night sky. I picked up my guitar and strummed a few random chords that turned into Risk It All. James joined in, and soon it became a proper thing. I didn't notice anyone behind me until I felt two wet hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" she whispered.

"Connor." I said. "Joking."

"I should hope so." she said, pulling her denim shorts on with her bikini top. She sat next to me, and I put my arm around her.

"This is why we're here isn't it? For these small snippets of perfect. Like, right here right now I could think of nothing else I'd rather do." she said.

Tamaras pov (I know, get me)

About an hour after we got to the beach everyone was kind of in their own little world. Brad was teaching Sarah guitar, helping her with all the chords.

"See, it's quite lot like piano when you see it." he said. She nodded. Connor and Tris were engrossed in a conversation about Rex, who I'd discovered was a bearded dragon and James was tuning his guitar by himself. I'd thought that me and James were kinda close but lately he'd been kind of ignoring me and I didn't know why. To be honest I'd kind of been hoping he was gonna ask me out but nothing seems to be happening any more.

"Penny for your thoughts?" asked James, his voice making butterflies in my stomach.

"You wouldn't want to know." I said.

"Oh I think I would." he said, smiling his smile that made me forget where I was for a second. Oh shit, what am I meant to say?

"Just about apples." I said, mentally face palming. Apples?

"Apples? That's um... interesting." he said, turning away. Well done Tam, that was the most he'd spoken to me in ages and I had to fuck it all up and talk about apples. I heard someone laugh, and I turned to see Sarah laughing.

"Brad, what the hell?" she said, giggling and then resting her head on his shoulder.

"What, all I said was imagine a shark playing guitar." he said. Sarah quickly kissed him, still laughing.
