My mother is now making me go to school. It was apart of the agreement of staying. I've been to school before, just not for very long. I went until I was 16 in 1880. I think I was in the 10th grade. However most of my schooling was taught first hand, learning as I go. Traveling and running does not work with going to normal school. The school I went to for a while was a one room school house, which was typical for the time. I remembered I was taught the basics like English, Math, Science, and History. She always thought it was important for me to at least learn the basics.
My mom always made sure there was a school I could attend in the city we were in. I would go to school and get the gossip of the kids and mom would play the widowed mother.
So since we are in a new town, kind of I am being forced to go to school. I will be going into the 11th grade, just as my father will be doing. I learned that from Caroline and honestly I'm somewhat surprised that he is even bothering to go. I guess it's to keep up his act for the town. It's good that I'll be going to school with him, that way I am always there to remind of the shit he has done over the years. And I will hopefully get an upper leg up by getting to listen into conversations with his gang. Plus Elena is going to be pissed.
I'm not thrilled about going to school, but the possibility of annoying Elena and Stefan give me the motivation to go to school.
As for my mom she will be hiding out at the house, although I'm not sure that will last long.
Tomorrow is my first of day school in 138 years. It will be interesting I know that for sure. I want my shitty father and aunt to see that I'm mad and I'm not going anywhere. I have been hiding out for the last two weeks, so they probably think I left. Well Elena may think that I'm still here, but I don't think she would tell. That would incriminate her as well.
I think I'm going to join cheerleading. I sounds like fun, and Caroline, Elena and Bonnie are on the team. I'll hopefully be able to get valuable information from them.
For the first day of school for me, the school actually started two weeks ago. I decide to wear a black crop top, a dark red shorty short skirt and some knee high boots and of course my signature eye liner look.
I get to school a bit late, I love to make an entrance. I go to register myself at the office, I compel the attendant to match my schedule to Elena's and Stefan's. Looks like I've got history for first, should be boring considering I lived through half of it.
I walk into the class late, just as I had planed.
"Hi, who are you?" The teacher asks me.
"Hi, I'm Emma Pierce. I just transferred here." I say it so innocently. And nearly everyone is staring at me. Stefan looks like his eyes might pop out.
"Welcome, you can take a seat in the back next to Stefan and Caroline. And as you can see on the board my name is Mr. Saltzman." He says and I gladly take my seat.
When I do take my my father whispers to me, "What are you doing here Emma?"
"I'm going to school, what does it look like I'm doing." I simply respond. I forgot how dumb my father is.
"I thought you left." He responds shocked that I'm still here.
"Well I didn't." And go back to half paying attention to the lesson. We are learning about the 1930's.
In the 30's I went off the rails a bit, I was kind of a ripper, but not in the traditional sense. I would kill and fed off a person I would simply puke it back out again, disgusting I know. I don't know why, but clearly I have some mental health issues. Nobody could control me. And eventually I became scared of myself after a while. It was like a disease I couldn't stop within myself. Lucky for me I had Lexi, she helped me get better and control myself. She still comes and visits me to make sure I'm okay. I still struggle today, it was never truly satisfying for me, it was just a way to not think about life.
