The Unwanted Daughter

Chapter Thirteen

The problem with living alone in the middle of the forest is that you either have to walk/drive into town or you have to call anyone you need to talk to.  And right now I'm not a huge fan of this whole living alone thing. I have to call so many damn people it's kinda crazy. Starting with my mom, ending with Aunt Elena and I have Lexi and  Kol in between. So naturally I start with my mom, she'll have landed already. 

"Hi mom" I say as soon as she picks up the phone. 

"Hi darling, how are you doing? I hope no one gave you much trouble."

"Well you know the usual interrogation at school by my teacher and little argument with Stefan, but that's it."

"Way were you interrogated by your teacher?" She asks sounding concerned.

"Oh you know I missed a day of school, I must have done something bad and beastly."

"People will think what they want to think, don't let them affect you."

"I never do. Oh by the way I think I came up with a plan, by the way."

"Did you now?"

"Yes, yes mother I did. Now do you want to hear it?"

"Sure shoot." I go on to explain what I have in mind. Lucky for me she approves, but says it will draw allot of attention so once it is complete I have to run. Which is fair. 

Once my mom approves my plan we go onto to talk about random things and we end the phone call. So now that I have one of four done I move onto my call for Lexi. 

"Emma, are you okay, what's going on?" Considering I never call her, her reaction is expected. 

"Lexi I'm fine. I just needed to call you."

"Oh, okay what's up?" And from there I explain to her what's been happening and what I've been up to.

"Emma, you can't go around tormenting your father." 

"I know it's wrong, but what about every thing he's done to me? Was that not wrong as well?"

"Of course it was wrong, but what your doing is no better. However I understand your frustration." The thing about Lexi is that she loves both Stefan and I and she would never pick sides until things got bad. And when that happens she always sides with my family and I. "Anyways I'll be in town for Stefan's birthday and Kat has asked me to look after you while I'm there, so I'm going to make up an excuse to be there longer." Great now my plan has to be put on hold.  There's no way Lexi would let me do it.

"Alright see you tomorrow." I say and hang up and move onto Kol Mikaelson. 

"Emmerson Petrova, I was wondering when you were going to call."

"Hello Kol, nice to hear from you too." I say sarcastically, mocking his hello.

"Fine, hello Emmerson, how have you been." The Mikaelson's always call me by my whole name which I have never minded for some reason.

"Oh you know just tormenting my father and Mystic Falls." I say casually. 

"Your back in Mystic Falls, without me, how rude. You know  how I love a good torment to that town. And your father deserves what ever shit you have planned for him. I'm proud of you."

"Thank you."

"Now darling why have you called my exactly, I was in the middle of a delicious dinner."

"I've got a plan for this god-awful town and wanted to see if you wanted to help me. Any thoughts?"

"I would love to help."

"Perfect, be here in three weeks." And we hang up and I remember I still need to call Elena. The one phone call I don't want to make, but I do it anyways.

After a couple of rings she finally picks up, when I had hopped she would not. "Hello"

"Hi Elena"

"Oh Emma, why are you calling me?" She seems calm, maybe she came back to her senses.

"Can I not talk to my aunt?"

"Of course you can, but I thought you were mad at me."

"Well I was at your alter ego, but this one is nice to talk to."

"Emma it's just a show, and I know what I've done is wrong and I'm sorry about that. I swear I'm always on your side, no matter what I say or do. So what's up? Where did Kat really go?"

"Scotland"

"Do you know why she left?"

"She said people were getting to close and it was getting too dangerous."

"Didn't tell you who?"

"Nope"

"I can find out for you, if you want."

"Yeah that would be nice to figure out."

"Aunt Elena" I say slowly treading in testy waters.

"Yes?"

"Why was everyone interrogating me today at school?" I think I know but I want to be sure.

"They don't trust you. But they are happy Kat left. They think it will make you weak. I hope you prove them wrong."

"I plan on doing that. I've got a plan."

"Well that's good cause I'm not sure how much longer Stefan will hold out on. Bonnie still wants to put you in a sleeping coma. Stefan's not letting her."

"At least he cares that much."

"He doesn't though, you have to be careful. He may not let other hurt you right now, but he will hurt you if he has to."

"I know what Aunt Elena."

"Okay good, now I'm going to sleep. See you at school."

"See you at school" 

Hello friends. So this such a boring chapter, I know. And because I'm such a bad person due to this chapter. I hope you all had a good new year. And let's say hello to 2019.
