The Unwanted Daughter

Chapter Nineteen

"Katherine" Everyone says in unison. 

"Yes, yes it is me and I would love to know what you have done to my daughter." She says very coldly. And the group remains silent. "Nobody wants to tell me how this happened? How very interesting. Meaning one of you did it."Then Lexi steps in and explains to Katherine what happened. "So you are the one that did this Stefan?" Katherine asks to make sure she knows the facts. 

"Yes and I'm not sorry either." Stefan simply says. 

"I'm not surprised that your not sorry although I am surprised that you did it at all." Katherine says fairly stunned at the information given to her. 

"She deserved it Katherine. She was hurting people, innocent people." Stefan says trying to explain. 

"Was she worse than you during the 20's? Did she kill anyone? Or did she just hurt them? From what I've been told it sounds like she didn't kill anyone she just hurting them. No real harm done. I think that you wanted an excuse to get rid of her and to hurt her. Am I right?" Katherine asks calmly but everyone in the room knows she's mad. 

But her accusations made Stefan angry. She was accusing him of hurting Emma just to get rid of her because that's what he wanted, was for Emma to be gone. Stefan wanted to accusations to be false but he knew they were true. 

"Fine, yes I came up with an excuse to get rid of Emma. But she doesn't belong here." Stefan yells at Katherine and this outburst only makes Katherine more angry with Stefan. 

"She came here to see you Stefan, her father. Against all my protests might I add. She came here to see you. You may be a crap father but she still came to see you because you are her father. And she wanted to do was see you even though she knew she would end up hurt. But she never expected it to be physical only emotion pain. You have let her down once again and for this she will never forgive you." Katherine screamed at Stefan. 

"I don't want to see her, so fine by me if she never wants to come back. I don't care if she won't forgive me. I just want her gone." Stefan screamed back. Which came with a unexpected slap from Katherine. 

"How dare you. She is your daughter. Weather you like it or not. Get over yourself." Katherine screams back. And silence fill the room, everyone far to scared to speak.  

Katherine walks over to her daughter laying on the couch, crouches down and brushes Emma's hair out of her face. Katherine looks at Emma with so much love in eyes, a mother's love. 

Stefan watches the scene in front of him. He looks at both Emma and Katherine with so much hatred. No one knew why he hated Emma. They knew why he hated Katherine, but they could never figure out why he hated his daughter so much. 

Deep down it was due to a broken heart. When Katherine had "died in the tomb" he had known she was alive and had escaped. But when Katherine had left he had not known that she was pregnant. He always thought she would come back for him. When Katherine never came back after a couple of years he began to hate her. She had promised to help him during the transition from human to vampire. At the time Stefan had believed that promises were things you do not break. He believed they were guarantees. This was when he was still a naive child. His heart broke when she never returned for him. He had thought that  her love for him would bring her back to him.

 Thus when Katherine and Emma had shown up on his door step in 1874 he kicked them out. He wanted them to feel pain, what it feels like to lose something you want and need. And by the looks of it, it had broken Emma more than it had broken Katherine. That is what hurt him the most. The fact that he had broken his daughter hurt him. Although he had mean to hurt them, it was never meant to be this bad. And the truth buried deeper inside him was that he love Emma, but that was a truth that no one would ever find out. 

He knew what Katherine had said was true. Emma will never forgive him  for this. Stefan hated that Katherine was right, his anger started filling him. He took a wooden stake near him walked over to Katherine and drove it through her back through her heart. All the screams from Damon, Elena and Lexi were muted by his rage. As Katherine's body became grey and blue Stefan walked to his room to write his feelings. But he felt nothing. 

Back downstairs as the surprise happened Emma started waking up. She saw her mother's body near her and all she could muster was, "Wha-what happened?". 

Hi friends, this chapter has a lot in it and yet is still short, sorry, but I hope you enjoy it anyways
