Somewhere in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.
"Girls, come on! We're ten minutes late. Ruby is going to be very mad at us..."
"Coming!" The young Asian girl sprints down the corridor dragging her suitcase behind her to the entrance hall. "First!" She yells excited jumping on her heels with her arms above her head but she lets them drop abruptly. "I forgot my snap-back cap!" The brunette woman shakes her head while looking at the ceiling seeing Jin sprinting again down the corridor, dodging Kat who's struggling with two suitcases and a bag.
"What on earth...? Kat! We're leaving for a weekend... just two days... not moving!" The Moroccan girl pretends to flip her short hair over her shoulder and states proudly.
"My 'just in case' clothes take up a lot of room." A noise of quick footsteps grabs Iselen attention when Jin comes back not with one but two snap-back caps, one on her head and one hanging from her jeans belt loop. A girl in a blue hoodie walks behind slowly, dragging a smaller suitcase and yawning nonstop.
"You show up finally, Cookie. What have you been done locked up in your room for the last 24 hours?"
"Netflixing... and looking for my earbuds... I couldn't find them till one hour ago..." The girl sits down carelessly on her suit case and puts them on her ears, scrolling down her phone but she frowns annoyed. "What the...? They don't work! Momma, my earbuds are broken! What am I going to do? I'll have to be social and actually talk to people and I hate people..." Cookie stops ranting when she realizes that Iselen isn't listening but walking into the living room, the three brats can hear a drawer being opened and the tired footsteps on their momma coming back... with a pack of five earbuds.
"Here...I bought them for you last time you broke your earbuds and almost annoyed the hell out of us with your whining." Cookie's smile could light up a whole city when she takes in her hand her brand new earbuds.
"I love you momma, you aren't people, you're family..."
"Thank you, dear. Are we finally ready?" Three heads nod at the same time. "We aren't forgetting anything, are we?" Three heads shaking... "Are you sure?" They nod convinced before Jin takes a look at her watch and gets pale.
"Damn! We're 15 minutes late... oh my... Daddy will kill us..."
"Actually we have to wait for Ruby to arrive in 15 minutes... I lied to you about the time we were leaving and forced you to have lunch earlier and wake up from your nap half an hour before... I knew this was going to happen..." Three mouths drop open looking at her momma in disbelief.
"Smart ass..." the Moroccan grumbles and Iselen turns around pointing at her ass covered by her dark blue jeans.
"I know, right?" she smiles smugly at the girls and leans her back on the wall, crossing her arms over her chest, while they sit on the bench in front of her quietly. Kat swings her legs while Cookie looks at her phone and Jin hums Ally Hills' Talia song... "Drop the bomb..." the three brats stare at her momma pretending to be surprised by her words but the brunette is having none of it, she knows they're up to no good since two days ago when they started talking in whispers and having secrets meetings in Cookie's bedroom. They look at each other and finally the English girl clears her throat while handing her phone to her momma. Iselen looks at the screen and raises an eyebrow trying to keep her poise... unsuccessfully.
"Oh my God!!!! It's so cute!!!!" She starts jumping in excitement.
"I know, right?" Jin jumps too. "It's the cutest chinchilla ever!"
