Scenario: Goku is protective of Bulma
It was a beautiful day, as was expected in such a place as Mount Paozu. Bulma had to admit that escaping the loud, simmering heat of the city was a nice change in pace and visiting a good friend really added to the splendor. Like a bolt of lightening, Bulma came storming into her best friend's home and began to rattle off details about her new knight in shinning armor or more accurately, her prince in Saiyan's armor.
"Slow down, slow down!" Chichi waved a hand frantically. "You're speaking faster than Goku eats!" The brunette was glad Bulma was excited but; "something this important should be discussed over some tea. Come on!" The woman ushered her friend inside and the blue haired genius tried to calm herself and remember all the details from yesterday.
Meanwhile, Goku had just finished hanging out with Gohan. They spent the day fishing, bird watching, picking vegetables and things like that. The two walked through the back door and into the kitchen for a well deserved glass of water. Nothing could ruin the patriarch's day...well, except for three little words; "That's right! I made the mighty Prince Vegeta my boyfriend." She giggled like a schoolgirl who had just obtained her first boyfriend. Except this wasn't Bulma's first and Goku couldn't believe that out of all those other guys this one was to be her next mate.
"Um dad? What's wrong?" The child before him inquired. "You look kinda shocked about something."
"Give me a minute Gohan." The alien put up a hand and practically barged into the living room where his eyes set upon two young women chatting excitedly over some tea and biscuits. Baby Trunks sat bored-ly in his mother's lap, about ready to fall asleep. Gohan was quick to greet the demi-Saiyan and make him his new playmate while Goku did some questioning. "Woah, didja say Vegeta is your new boyfriend?"
"Yes! That's exactly what I said. Isn't it just amazing!" The woman blushed excitedly but the man didn't even bother to say congrats.
"No. D'ya have any idea how crazy that sounds?" He took a step forward, making Chichi's face contort into confusion. "He's dangerous, Bulma. Didja forget how he tried to kill us all?"
At this sudden burst of anger, Ms. Brief's felt a strange combination of anger and hurt. Since when was Goku this invested into her romantic life? In fact she expected the exact opposite from someone as emotionally vacant as him. And yet she found herself pushing these vengeful thoughts away in defense of her new man. "Newsflash; we have a kid together so no, it's not that crazy. I don't know if you know this Goku, but tons of women nowadays don't end up with their baby daddies. Shouldn't you be glad I stayed with mine? Now Trunks'll grow up with his real father; just like what Future Trunks would've wanted." There was another part to the man's question that Bulma was eager to address. With an air of cockiness, she set down the coffee cup and stood to her feet. "You're one to talk about befriending murders. Like you always say; half your friends were your rivals, right?"
"Yeah, they're my friends and that's it. Do ya see me swooning over them and being their boyfriend?" He batted his eyelashes in slight mockery of her. It was totally uncharacteristic of him and Chichi wondered who the heck was standing in her living room right now.
"Goku, what's gotten into you?" She tried her best to make herself heard above the noise.
"Well, maybe if they were women you'd reconsider!" The scientist mentally patted herself on the back for that one. How could he possibly understand her feelings? First of all, he was married so naturally he wouldn't "swoon" over anyone. Second, he was a straight man so of course he wouldn't "swoon" over other dudes. Idiot. "Besides, ever since the whole cell thing," there came that sparkling look in her eyes again, and it filled the warrior with uneasiness, "after meeting Future Trunks he's definitely changed. He's so much more...caring now." The Saiyan's jaw almost dropped.
