Scenario: Goku is genuinely mad at Chichi.

She got the cold shoulder all morning. Even after poking him around and making all his favorite foods for breakfast, the Saiyan kept his words sealed within his lips. She tried to get him to smile, to laugh—anything.

Without much of a plan, Chichi figured it'd be best to talk with him in private. The woman made her way to the bathroom where her husband showered. Normally, he would have sensed her ki by now and greeted her but today; silence. She sat herself on the countertop and anxiously listened to the water run. Soon enough the glass door carefully slid open to reveal a naked Goku. They were forced to make eye contact but the man didn't appear too surprised by such a sight. Despite his cold disposition, Chichi couldn't help but admire the sloppy way in which he dried his hair and body.

"Goku, please tell me why you're so upset? Nothing happened. I'm alright now." She sniffled before pressing a tissue to her nose.

"No you ain't." He replied angrily before sliding a shaver against his cheeks. "Do you know what kinda danger you put yourself in?"

All day she tried to play it off like it was no big deal but Goku's expression remained stoic. Maybe I really did screw up, especially if Goku is this upset with me. "I-I guess so," she suddenly felt so small in his presence.

"You guess?" The man had an incredulous amount of sarcasm in his tone and it made Chichi shrink even further.

"But Goten was sick I-"

"I know but I told you we would get the meds in the morning because it was way too late at night." The saiyan turned around now and gave her his complete attention. She truly hated to see him upset like this. Even worse was knowing that the trust they shared was cracked. In fact, she couldn't remember the last time this happened, if ever. "But you know what you did?" The steely tone of voice sent a shiver down her spine.

Immediately her gaze met with the floor tiles. "I went anyway." The housewife muttered.

"Yeah without tellin' me, in the middle of the night, in the middle of winter." Goku narrowed his eyes at his wife, a certain protectiveness lay within them that Chichi found difficult to find. "Do you know how dangerous that is?"

"Yeah but I'm okay. I didn't want Goten to suffer. He's just a baby afterall." There was a certain defensiveness in her tone that didn't make Goku flinch as it normally would have.

"Chichi, he's our kid-my kid. He's half saiyan and he would've been fine for the night. All ya had to do was wait till mornin', then we would've went to the pharmacy together, and taken care of our son but ya just snuck off and didn't listen to nothing I had to say."

It was as if someone physically squeezed her heart. She could understand how he felt a bit. After all, she did ignore his advice and it sounded like he really wanted to play a role in helping their son. She peered up at him like a child being reprimanded. His arms were crossed over his buff chest, a single bead of water ran down the rigid muscle, making Chichi feel a tad warm. At least the towel was securely wrapped around his waist.

"If something bad happened to ya I wouldn't have known until your ki spiked. In other words, only if you'd been attacked. If you at least told me you were leavin' I would've been able to keep an eye on you. Better yet I coulda dropped you off myself. I'm glad nothing bad happened but look at you; now you're just as sick as Goten, maybe worse."

"I-I'm sorry. When you put it that way it was reckless." She was usually so fiery and defensive when it came to being right, but as of now Chichi resembled a wilted flower. "Just please don't be mad at me anymore." Her lips formed a sad frown that could bring even the mightiest of warriors to their knees. It wasn't his rage that scared her but his disappointment. As if begging for absolution, she grabbed his wrist and squeezed it with a desperation that only Goku was entitled to see.

The absolute look of sorrow that hung off her usually vivacious features really stirred something within the martial artist. Ah, what do I expect? She's my wife afterall. And yet, his patriarchal senses wouldn't allow this to slide. The man raised her chin up with a fist and forced her to make eye contact with him. A flurry of butterflies made their home inside her stomach. "Promise me you'll never do that again." His eyes were just as intense as when he began except now, there was a mix of softness that gave Chichi hope.

"I didn't know it'd upset ya so much." The tears in her eyes welled a bit before she could continue. "I promise." The man felt his heart crack before releasing a sigh.

"I don't mean to be so hard on you but you really had me worried, y'know that?" He rested his forehead against hers, his hand blossomed and cupped her cheek. "Silly girl. You know I love you, don't cry." He leaned in and kissed her cheek sweetly. Then his hand, as if possessed, rested itself on her thigh and squeezed teasingly.

She felt so warm around him now and of course she was glad to be. It just surprised her how protective he got, but she supposed it would've been worse if he didn't care at all.
