BILL FELT LIKE HE was gonna be a horrible dad already. it wasn't a very good way to find out, either. beating his child's mother isn't something he wants his son or daughter to remember. it made him feel terrible.

he missed when they were good with each other. but now they were having a kid together. now they kind of had to deal with each other. and he hoped he never put his hands on her again.

"storm!" he yelled, walking into the bathroom to see her taking a shower. now he noticed a lump in her stomach. so tiny, it was barely there. well. it was there. just small.

"what?"

"i made breakfast. it's out on the table if you want any."

she nodded and he left the bathroom. now eating his breakfast. thinking so much about his first little one. his first ever child. he had been doing so much thinking. about names. about genders. about the birthday parties they would throw. because he knew that storm and him would never have to worry about physically fighting again. he just couldn't wait for his baby to grow up and to teach them things and to protect them.

it looked like a fairytale in his head. watching storm, the most beautiful woman he had ever met, coddle that baby. but he hated himself for putting those bruises on her. he hated himself for being such an angry prick. for being a horrible boyfriend. he didn't know what the hell to do to get her to forgive him but he really hoped she would.

storms phone began to ring. it was her mom. bill watched it ring until the call canceled. he had never met her mom. never spoken to her. nothing. he doubts she even knows storm is pregnant cause they rarely talk.

her and her family aren't really on the best of terms right now. they never are. they're always upset because storm doesn't call and storm is always upset because they took advantage of her when she was younger. she hated them and she didn't like talking to them.

i mean it's really all just family stuff and bill didn't wanna get involved. it's not like storm was alone, she had bill. and harry and alana and bill grandma. and that's it really. storm didn't have friends because she was always so busy. she didn't have time for friends. she didn't have time to deal with people who felt like they deserved something or that she owed them something. that wasn't the energy she wanted around her.

"hey baby." bill greeted as she walked over to give him a kiss.

"hey." she dried her hair and took bills fork to pick up eggs. humming when she tasted the ring of salt it had to it.

"is it good?"

"yeah." she nodded. surprised.

"see baby. i told you to always have faith in me." he laughed.

"i uh," she swallowed. "i have to do something for work today. i'll be fine for a couple of hours."

"like what?"

"um," storm made up something in her head. "buying more things for the kids. meeting with parents. stuff like that, you know."

storm made up the biggest lie she could've thought of. and she hoped bill wouldn't check in while she was in the middle of what she was really doing.

"alright. come here," bill grabbed her hand and placed his other on her stomach. it made her feel worse about what she was gonna do. "i want you to know. that i adore you. and our baby."

"i know." she dragged. "i need to get dressed now."

storm felt like a monster. but she had to.
