Derek moved to a 4-story apartment the day he turned 18. It was not a choice, though. His parents decided to kick him out.

He was staying there for almost a week. His room was on the 3rd floor. It was quite nice because he only have 2 neighbors. The old couple, and a widowed woman. They are peace-loving people and it's an advantage for him, he can concentrate on studying without any interruption.

It was past midnight. Derek was still up, busy writing his article for the school's magazine. With a coffee on his right hand, he ripped yet another piece of his 100 page notebook, which have 88 leaves left.

He closed his eyes and leaned his back against the headboard. My eyes should take a break. He thought to himself.

But because of extreme drowsiness and 3 consecutive sleepless nights, his eyelids did not open, not until about 2:39 AM. He swear to God he felt something drop on his face. He rubbed his eyes and was shocked to see his whole body soaked in water.

"Oh God, did I seriously pissed on myself?" he muttered in annoyance. He decided to get up and head to the bathroom and wash himself. When he returned, Derek looked up and saw droplets of water dripping from the ceiling.

He wondered where it came from, slightly spooked out. He decided to fix his things and go to sleep. That's enough for today.

The next morning, he was awoken by the loud sirens of police cars and ambulance outside the apartment.

"Fucking shit. The world seriously don't want me to rest." he muttered and decided to get up and see what happened. The police are all over the fourth floor.

The incident happened in the room directly above his. According to the police, a teenager hung himself at 2:30 AM. But the strange thing is, the room was empty. No tables, no chairs, nothing. Just a mark of dried liquid on the wooden floor. The ceiling is almost 8 ft. from the floor.

Oh well, it's none of my business. He thought to himself and decided to go back to his room and prepare himself for school.
