Dead End

I was currently driving off to the new orphanage across the town. It felt kinda weird driving alone at 2 am. I'm literally the only one driving in the dark road. The eerie silence creeps me out, so I decided to blast off Muse's Hysteria.

I've heard a lot of stories about the orphanage. They said, no one ever gets back after they visit that place. They all just mysteriously  disappeared without tracks. The children and employees in that place are cannibals, as they say. But of course, I didn't believe such bullshit. It's already 2014 for fuck's sake. In reality, cannibals are extinct a long time ago. This is not Wrong Turn or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is reality.

Why am I going to the orphanage in the first place? I don't actually know. Something inside me is dragging me to that place. It's strange. But it's thrilling.

I swayed my head along with the song. A huge sign was visible not far from here. I drove closer and read the lighted words.

Andrea's Mini Mart.

Just my luck, eh? I stopped the car on the middle of the road- it's not like it would be a trouble to anyone. I walked out of the car and enter the store. The whole place is made of wood and it almost looked antique. The floor seriously looks like it would crash into pieces by simply jumping up and down ten times.

There's nothing much inside. I end up grabbing 2 canned Coke and 3 Lays. I put them on the counter where an old lady is waiting. She looks creepy. With those long, brittle, gray hair, a toothless grin, and wrinkled skin.

I silently paid for the items. I was a bout to exit the place, when she suddenly spoke up.

"Where were you heading, my child?" she asked with a deep, husky voice that sent shivers down my spine. My first instinct was to run back to my car, but I would look really bad.

Respect. Respect. Respect.

"To the orphanage, ma'am." I answered with a forced smile.

"Don't." she growled.

"Don't go to that place! That orphanage is a dimension to hell! No one gets out of there alive! You're going to die! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die!" she screamed out like a banshee. God, my ears literally hurt.

Blood flowed out of her eyes and mouth, she stopped screaming. Dropped to the floor— dead. My whole body was frozen in shock. The loud thunder snapped me out of my shocked state. I ran outside the store in panic and started the car.

I stepped on the gas and started running the car, exceeding the speed limit. Right now, I couldn't care less. I just want to get the hell out of here.

The Gospel Orphanage.

"This will be your room. If you ever need anything, ring the bell, Maris or Sheena will come in and help you. Feel at home." a buff man, Mr. Sebastian said in a monotone. I noticed that everybody inside the orphanage is wearing one similar face. Expressionless, poker face.

"Thank you Sir." I said politely and entered the room. The room is quite simple. A single bed pushed against the wall, an old lampshade, and a jacket holder. I lay down the bed- this is uncomfortable as fuck. I don't think I can sleep in this kind of furniture. I won't complain though, they've been good enough to welcome me and the least I can do is be polite. I shifted into random positions, when I finally found a good one, I drifted into a slumber.

I woke up to children talking loudly, which of course, is the reason why I woke up in the first place. They were whisper-shouting at each other. Curious, I pretended to be asleep and listened to their conversations.

"You heard what Maris told Sheena earlier?" a boy asked.

"What'd she say?" a girl replied with a thick British accent.
