The next few days have been better, although a bit weird. Naya is still avoiding me and I have no idea why, but Lea has been overly chatty, I felt like I was constantly being interrogated. The conversation were usually about Naya, and honestly I never stopped blushing. I avoided Marissa like the plague. Blake has tried to be supportive but ever since his limo almost entered my garage it's been awkward. Filming has been going great, and the live shows of The X Factor are about to start. I'm very busy promoting my songs, and album. The Neon Lights music video comes out next week. Thank the Lord these shows I'm on are doing half the promoting for me. The only thing I have been having a problem with is a feeling, a thought, I can't seem to shake but I can't even remember if it is real. It's battling with the memory I actually know in my mind, and is stressing me out so bad. I'm about to work right now, so I dod a couple meditation breaths to compose myself. As soon as some assitant notices me I'm directed to hair, make-up, and I change into an outfit that was almost identical to mine in the first place. After ten rushed minutes, I am on set. We are placed in Santana's apartment, and cue the drama.
This scene is where Naya comes back from a trip to Lima (aka the set next door) and hugs Dani because she's missed her, explains shit that happened while she was in 'Ohio', yadda yadda yadda. We were gonna do this in an airport but somehow this makes more sense. On cue Naya runs into my arms. I almost throw up with nerves. "I've missed you so much. I had a horrible time, grandma doesn't talk to me anyway, I have no clue why I went back, nobody wants me there. I missed you."
"I missed you too." I had tears in my eyes, real ones. I have missed her and I'm not going to let something as trivial as my feelings get in the way of being around her. "Just kiss me already." I say on script and she leans in, tenderly touching her lips to mine. She barely touched mine but it made my heart race. 'Why can't this be real? I ask myself.
'Because not everyone is a freak like you.' My mind replies. I ignore that thought, I am not a freak.
"AND CUT!" The director calls. Great job guys." Naya pulls me aside and my eyebrow goes up to ask what shes doing.
"You know I really have missed you Demi. Are you doing okay?" She said rubbing my arm. I skim the last while in my head and frown.
"I was not doing well for a little bit but now I'm okay." I attempt to pull one side of my mouth into a smile but it becomes directed at the floor. She takes her hand off my shoulder and I look up at her. Her brown eyes stare into mine, looking for answers I'm not sure of.
"That's good." She settled for my answer. "Do you want to do something after this? Hang out?"
"Maybe, what would it involve?" I winked.
She slapped me playfully. "I was thinking my place and pizza, is that cool with you?"
"Very cool. Hey, I took a cab here, is it okay if I ride with you? We are going to your place anyway." She nodded. "Yay okay let me just change." I ran into my dressing room and skimmed through my clothes trying on random items while throwing what doesn't work behind me. What says "I'm trying to not like you but look how cute yet comfortable I look?"
I threw on a sweatshirt that said 'Normal People Scare Me,' and a pair of checkered leggings and combat boots. Quickly glossing on the best red lipstick I had available, I walked out to see Naya.
Only took me 20 minutes. "Hey sorry it took me so long I couldn't find anything to wear." She nodded and we walked around the corner where I literally bumped into Lea. She dropped her purse and the contents spilled out. "Oh my God I'm so fucking sorry." I picked up a couple items off the floor and went to hand them to her.
"It's fine." She smiled.
"Well here is your tampon, hair type, and... cherry lipgloss." Oh shit. This can't be... "Actually can I use this?" Before she asked I put it on and licked my lips. Sure enough, it was the same exact taste and feel.
