So, the girls had gotten off with a warning for the accident on the legal front. However, it was a whole other story once Helen heard about it, though.

The sisters had gotten a stern lecture from their mother about being more responsible, though Katya didn't exactly know why she was in trouble, she wasn't even the one driving the car, and she was asleep in the back seat when the accident happened.

Thankfully, Helen wasn't a very stern mother; she was too much of a free spirit to be strict, so they weren't grounded for the incident, just given a request for the two of them to be more careful from now on.

That following Tuesday as the limo pulled up at school and Katya and Michael exited the car, they could hear people called out for her and the flashing of camera lights going on all around them. It had been exactly like that Monday as well.

"God, it's like you're a celebrity." Michael stated as he looked around at the crowd

She shrugged casually and glanced up at him, "I guess to them I am."

Katya smirked though when she heard one of the spectators saying that she had won the genetic lottery.

Coach Harbula was standing outside, trying to keep some of the people back as Joe and Michael flanked her from both sides and followed behind her into the school. There were some children standing out there taking pictures of her and Katya smiled at the sight of two twin girls, one of them sitting in a wheelchair and the other on Jeremiah's lap.

She walked over and smiled kindly down at them, "Hi princess," one of the little girls spoke, "can I have your autograph please."

Katya bent down to face them and took the book and pen from the little girl's hands, "What's your name sweetie?"

She smiled brightly up at Katya, "Lily."

Katya grinned and turned her head, "Hey Michael,"

"Yeah?"

"This little beauty's name is lily too."

Michael moved closer and bent down next to Katya in front of the little girl, "No kidding?" he smiled gently at the girl, "My sister's name is lily."

Katya signed the book and handed it back to Lily before facing her twin, "And what's your name?" Katya asked as she took her book as well.

"Charlotte."

"Well Charlotte, you two must be twins, huh?"

"Yes." The two girls nodded and smiled.

Michael chuckled, "Isn't it obvious Katya, just look at those beautiful matching faces."

The two little girls blushed at his praise and Katya grinned over at him before handing the book back and smiled at the two girls, "You two have a great rest of your day, okay?"

"Will you take a picture with me, princess?" someone called out.

"The princess is late for English." Coach Harbula denied and Joe helped her stand back on her feet and followed behind her as she made her way into the school, making sure she arrived at her class safely before leaving.

A few hours later, Katya had just gotten out of class and was waiting for Michael to join her at her locker so they could go for lunch together. She was just starting to slide some of her books out of her bag and into the locker when she heard someone call her name.

"Katya."

She looked up expecting to see Michael but found Josh Bryant, the school's resident pretty boy, standing before her instead.

"Hi..." She said slowly, frowning. What could he possibly want to talk to her about?

"Step into my office." He said walking over to a bench across from her locker. Katya closed her locker and hesitantly walked over to join him, sitting as far away as she could, and crossed her arms.

"So, um..." He started, smirking at her, "I hope what Lana said on TV didn't freak you out too much."

Katya shrugged, "No," she was only half listening to him talk.

Josh nodded, "Okay good, because I broke up with her because of it," He informed her, "and I hate phony publicity seekers."

"Uh huh." She nodded distractedly as she looked around the courtyard for Michael. What was taking him so long?

Katya knew that the only reason he was talking to her was because she was a princess and he wanted the publicity that would come from dating her.

"Anyway," He started, smiling, "Saturday night's the big beach party."

"Yep." She agreed sarcastically, hoping that Michael would hurry up and come save her from this torture.

"Well, I think it'd be really cool if we went together" He smirked at her.

Katya stopped looking around and turned to face him wide-eyed, "What?" she must have misheard him. This pretty boy sophomore was not asking her out, was he?

Josh nodded arrogantly, "Yeah, we should totally go together, it'd be fun." He was so sure she would agree. Every girl at the school wanted him, surely she was no different.

Katya opened her mouth to respond, and she was getting ready to tell him off too when..., "Katya?"

They both looked up and found Michael standing there watching her and Josh confused.

"Uh hey," Josh answered, still smirking, "We're kind of in the middle of a conversation, if you could come back later, that'd be great."

"What?" Michael questioned sarcastically, staring Josh down.

Katya let out a sigh of relief at the sight of her best friend and stood up, "Thanks for the offer, Josh, but I already have plans Saturday night." She grabbed Michael's hand, "I'd say 'maybe some other time' but then I'd be lying." and the two began to walk away leaving Josh sitting there speechless.

"What was that about?" Michael asked once they were a good distance away.

She shrugged, "He wanted me to go to the beach party with him Saturday."

"Well," he paused frowning, "Do you want to go?" Michael asked hesitantly.

Katya scoffed and laughed, "Not with him. Besides," She smiled brightly, "we've got plans that night. I'm excited to hear you guys play some of your new songs."

Michael nodded and smirked back at her, "You know we should be done with practice around five, maybe after we're done, we could head up to the party together."

Katya grinned up at him, "I'd like that."

"Alright," He smiled back and squeezed her hand, the one that he just noticed he was still holding after fleeing from Josh, "So where do you want to go for lunch?"
