Chapter 31 - Marathon 4/5

Selena's P.O.V.

    Jose just announced to everyone in the warehouse that we are an official couple. What the actual fuck?! Then he goes on and kisses me. I kiss back because that's what couples do. What was I suppose to do, push him away? No. We are a couple now so I guess we should act like one. . . Right?

    I hear gasps, whistles and even screams from around us. I pull away and hide my bright red face in his chest. I hope Justin didn't see that. Not that I care if he did. . . Who am I kidding! Of course I care. I'm a dumbass for caring. I shouldn't care how he feels about me kissing my boyfriend. He's not my boyfriend anymore so he shouldn't care either.

Deep down I hope he cares a little though.

"Woah, what the fuck just happened?!" Demi screams with a shocked face. Her eyes still haven't blinked from their wide open position.

"Get some, Jose!" Someone cheers.

    My cheeks turn more red if that was even possible. My dad has no emotion on his face. Its hard and serious and it makes my stomach ache.

"I'm fine with it," he says with no emotion. "Just as long as its not someone from another gang. That would be big betrayal." And with that he walks away. 

"Holy shit I did not see that coming!" someone yells and laughs.

    I turn over to look at the person that yelled that with a laugh but instead I meet his eyes. My smile fades and is replaced with no expression. My heart jumps out of my chest and my stomach falls down to the ground. His eyes are cold and his face is serious. His jaw is tight, looking clenched. He must be biting down his teeth hard.

    To his right I see his mom, Pattie, with a small fake smile on her lips. She looks at me and I can almost see her eyes glisten with tears. She turns over to Justin and rubs his shoulder. He jerks her hand away and stomps off. I can see her say his name as she goes after him.

    He probably thinks I'm some cheap whore who moves on to whoever throws themselves at me. I think I moved on to fast. . . In my defense, I technically haven't moved on yet. Maybe physically I have but mentally and heart fully I haven't. Actually not even physically. . . my lips and body are just begging for his touch once again. To just have him near me. Doesn't change the fact that he still jumped in Nick.

    Speaking of that bastard, in the corner of my eye I can see him glaring at me. His eyes are trying to burn a hole right through me. I still can't believe he's in my fucking gang. Its so unfair. Gang is family, we all get along and we have to do everything together. I don't even wanna be in the same room as him. He's a disgrace to the gang already. He only joined to piss me off and trust me, it did. A lot.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" Demi yelled as she hit my shoulders.

"I was going to tell you later on when we were alone. I didn't know he was just gonna announce to the whole fucking world."

 I would bitch to him about it but I'm his girlfriend. I should be happy he announced it happy and proudly.

"Mhm," she mumbles. "I'm fucking shocked bitch."

"I think everyone's shocked. Whoo hoo shocker. Okay we're a couple, k now move on." Its not like we're a famous couple or something.

"You said you would NEVER date him because he was like your brother. Plus I honestly thought you and Bieber had something secret ya' know. . . like a secret relationship. That's why I was so pissed. Thank the lord I was wrong that would be so wrong and disrespectful to the gang. And of course betrayal."

    She was suspicious. . . Maybe Jose announcing our relationship wasn't such a bad idea. It'll clear out any other assumptions.

"FUCK ALL OF YOU! MAY YOU ALL ROT IN HELL YOU SONS OF BITCHES!" Someone randomly screamed.

We all turn to see Max's mom, Flor, at the gate entrance way.

"Flor, go home you don't know what you're doing." my dad tells her.

I walk over to her along with Demi and some of my family including my dad.

"Tia(Aunt) are you okay?" I ask her and reach out to her shoulder.

    She snatches my hand and pulls me to her. She had spun me around and now had her arm around my throat. I'm shocked and I almost scream when I feel a gun pointed onto the side of my head. Gasps, screams and a bunch of cussing is coming from everyone in the warehouse.

"Flor, get that gun away from my daughter. Now." my dad orders her.

"Or what?! You'll shoot me?! Go ahead! I'm already dead." she yells with tears streaming down her face. "You took my life. . . the only thing I lived for. You took my baby from me! So I should get to take yours too. Why should you get to have yours while my precious baby who stayed away from all of this bullshit had to go?! He left me because of you! Because of all of you! Fuck you!" She sobs and the gun begins to shake against my head as her trembling fingers struggle to hold it up.

"We didn't shoot Max, Flor. Don't punish us like we knew anything was going to happen to anyone! Go home before this turns bad. If it does, you best believe it ain't gonna be bad for us." My aunt Cindy warns her.

Flor laughs and repositions the gun near my temple. "Try me."

"What do you want?" My dad asks her.

    Suddenly her expression changes to confused. She looks at me then at my dad. She's still sobbing but she doesn't look as mad anymore. Under her eyes are long puffy black bags soaking in tears. I don't think she has ate, showered, stopped crying nor slept since Max died. . . My stomach is in knotts.

"Ricardo, you're the main to blame because you are the leader. I want to take what you took from me." she cries out.

Me. . . ?

    I slightly turn and see Justin behind Flor. My vision is blurred with tears that are begging to spill out. So what happens next is a complete blur.

    I can hear the gun lock against my head and I want to close my eyes. But I can't because they can't seem to look away from Justin. Next thing I see is him running towards me. My heads spinning. What's going on?

I fall to the ground and hear two gun shots fired.
