Chapter 3: Who are you?

Sherry woke up to something pecking at her arm. She looked down to see a crow. It went up to her face and pecked at her hair.

"Oh...I must've fallen asleep," she whispered to herself. Sherry tried to pet the crow, but it moved suddenly. Sherry just watched as it seemed to be listening for something. Then, it started to walk away. Curious, she followed it. The crow led her to an exit that led into the woods. Then, she saw a little boy. Slightly curly, black hair, tan skin, and bright green eyes.

"Who's that," she mumbled to herself. Sherry saw the crow fly onto the boy's shoulder...and start speaking.

"Why are you star-gazing when you should be sleeping," the crow asked.

"Couldn't fall asleep," he said softly, "where did you even come from?"

"A garden tunnel. By the way, I was followed," the crow said causally.

"Wait wut," the boy said as he turned to the crow.

"You heard me," the crow replied, "Some pathetic weredog girl followed me not knowing how to mind her own business."

"Hey! Who are you calling pathetic," Sherry growled. The crow turned to her, obviously not surprised.

"Oh. You're still here...great," it said sarcastically.

"She's right, you know. That was kinda mean," the boy shrugged.

"Shut up Aiden," the crow mumbled.

"I heard that," Aiden said calmly, "Besides. Why were you even in a tunnel?"

"I heard someone crying. Turns out it was just her," the crow replied. Aiden looked confused as he glanced at Sherry.

"Why were you crying? Wait...I don't even know your name yet! I'm Aiden. Who are you," he questioned. Sherry looked away as she spoke.

"My name is Sherylin. I was crying because of something that happened at home. That's all," she answered nervously. Aiden looked concerned as he walked up to her and noticed the eye patch. He moved her hair, saw the blood leaking though the patch, and asked her in a soft, yet serious tone.

"What happened?"
