Chapter 10:Surprise

So, the next day...

Sherry woke up in Aiden's arms. He was warm. Sherry got closer and hid her face in his chest. She felt his grip tighten a little. Then, she heard a clicking noise and two whispers.

"Turn the sound off," one voice said, "she'll wake up!"

"Ok ok jeez," the other voice replied.

"Why are you even taking pictures," one voice asked the other.

"Because I ship it," the other voice replied, softly giggling.

Is that...Silver and Elena...Sherry thought, I'm surprised they're still here. She tried to sit up, but only ended up being able to lay her head over Aiden's shoulder (like how Asuna laid her head on Kirito's shoulder when she said she loved him while he was sleeping that time they were in that cabin in the forest on Floor 22 in Sword Art Online). Elena took advantage Sherry's sleepiness and took a picture.

"That's a keeper," Elena grinned, "Morning Sherry."

"Good morning Elena," Sherry mumbled, unaware that Elena snapped a photo. Then, Silver threw something at Sherry. Due to her reflexes she has been developing to defend against Violet, Sherry caught them, even though her eyes were closed. It was some fruit on a few skewers.

"Silver," Elena exclaimed, "That was extremely dangerous! What if it hurt her?!"

"It's ok Elena," Sherry reassured her, "I'm fine. I predicted his attack because I saw him grab them while I tried to get up."

"O-oh...," Elena sighed, "ok."

"Anyways," Sherry said, "When exactly does school start?"

"In 5 hours 45 minutes and 24 seconds," Elena answered.

"Ok thanks," Sherry mumbled. Then, she realized how she was positioned as Aiden started to wake up. His grip tightened a bit, so she couldn't move. He turned and laid on his back instead of his side and Sherry ended up laying on his chest. It only got more awkward when she tried to get up. She was only a few inches away from his face. Elena snapped a few more photos. The sound of the camera caused Aiden to wake up completely. He made a cute little groaning noise as he rubbed his eyes, unaware that Sherry was on top of him. When he opened his eyes, Elena took another photo. Then, he realized why. Both their faces turned bright red.

"And she said she didn't like him," Silver whispered to Elena as they snickered. Aiden and Sherry both jolted up and turned away from each other.

How long have we been in that position?! Wait...did Elena take pictures?! Aiden thought. He could hear Sherry mumbling something behind him. What was she saying?

"calm down Sherry," she mumbled to herself, "it's not like you were about 3 inches away from kissing someone you just met yesterday or anything."

"Elena," Aiden whispered, "just how many pictures did you take?!"

"You'll see," Elena giggled. Aiden sighed as he got up, grabbed some clothes and opened the room door.

"I'm gonna go change," Aiden mumbled, still kinda sleepy. Then he closed the door. Elena and Silver chatted while Sherry stared out the window for a bit. Then, she saw something. It was a person. They looked like they were telling her to come closer. Sherry sniffed the air.

Where have I caught that scent before...she thought. Then it hit her. Home. Whoever that person is...it's a family member. Just as Sherry was going to open the window, Aiden came back. The person ran off.

"Who was that," Aiden asked.

"I don't know," Sherry whispered, "their scent was kinda familiar though."

"Anywho, you need to change into something different," Aiden said, "Got anything to wear?"

"Yeah," she replied as she grabbed a bag that she brought from home. She stood up and realized she had no clue where the bathroom is. Aiden grabbed her hand and led her to the bathroom.

"Your welcome," he said.

"Thanks," Sherry laughed as she closed the door. She remembered the figure outside the window. She thought about it as she changed.

Who was that? Mom? Dad? Then, she realized that the figure was around her size. She knew who it was.

"Violet," Sherry mumbled to herself. Once she finished changing, she darted to the room, slammed the door open, and immediately pulled the curtains away from the window.
