Between the heart monitor beeping and the IV dripping I must have fallen asleep. I flutter my eyes open to see Addison. Her tear stained face sobs more.

"A?" I ask quietly. She looks up to see me awake.

"You're awake." She says with a sound of relief.

"Where's Luke?" I ask sitting up. She runs to me pushing me back down.

"Doctor said not to move." She hums wiping her tears.

"Where is he Addison?" I raise my voice.

"He's in surgery, he's got a lot wrong with him." My breath hitches as the words fall from her lips.

"Where my mom and dad?" I ask raising a brow.

"I told them to go home to get some food and that I'd be here all night. I asked to put you in a double with Luke. They didn't want you to be near him." Addison frowns.

"I told him to slow down." I whimper as tear spill from my eyes.

"I know." She cries too sitting beside me. "You can leave in a bit the doctor said. Your mom signed the release papers. She said to call when you're out." I hear her voice slowly.

"I want to see Luke." I mumble.

"You should go home and sleep first. They won't let you see him till visiting hours tomorrow." I tell her.

I nod as we sit in silence until the doctor released me.

I quickly head back up to Luke room.

I notice Ryder sitting in the corner. Lukes bag of clothing now lays on the bed.

"You got the stuff I told you to right?" I ask. He nods. "Thank you." I say so softly. He look as if he's debating if he even heard it.

I open the bag to find Luke's lyric book.

"You should sleep." Ryder tells me. "I'll wake you up when he's here." Ryder hums. I look at him and begin to cry again. Ryder takes me in his arms holding me and kissing my forehead. "Hey, calm down. I'm not gonna let anything happen to him. He's gonna get the best care money can buy." Ryder tells me. Ryder sits on the chair with me. "Just sleep." He hums. I sob into his shoulder falling asleep with his sweet smell.

I wake up to Ryder nudging me a bit. My eyes flutter up to his jawline as I push myself back off of him. My head aches and my bones feel swollen from crying some.

"Hey, the doctor said they are gonna bring him in soon." Ryder's hushed calm voice soothes me. But it's not the voice I wanted to hear.

I wanted Ashton. I needed him right now.

"I'm just gonna call someone." I nod and head into the hallway.

I dial his number.

"Ash." I whimper.

"Hey, Addison. Any news on Luke?" He asks. His voice is kind of slurred but he still talks rather clearly.
