The three girls opened the door to the Golden suit, May was trying not hard to laugh although she felt bad for acting such a horrible brat but there was no other choice. After the long haul to the room Debra slumped on the soft peach velvet couch "And the award goes to...." May threw a pillow to her face and laughed
"You did well, actually no, you were exceptionally well" Gemma says while drinking an expensive complimentary tea "Well, how about it?" she says surprisingly while taking something out of the basket
"What is it?" Debra asks excitingly "What what?"
"It's an invitiation to the Masquerade Madelle ball tonight" Gemma replied "The theme is red"
"A bloodspill" Debra teases
"A vampire joke?" Gemma giggles "And the...." her expression changed
"What?" Debra and May chorused
"The Elders are coming, it's supposedly a party for Nathan Eavesden" she starts walking back and forth and sighs "This will be trickier than I thought. We need to dress up and join this party to get information about the Elders. They might give us a hint about their plan".

Gemma and Debra were busy fixing May's makeup and hair. She could see that they were having fun so she dare not complain
"May how do you keep your skin so shiny?" Debra asks while powdering her nose
"Sweat I guess" she replies casually "Usually when I'm nervous"
"Why would you be nervous? We're just gonna overhear conversations not come up to them"
"It's not that" May flustered "Really..."
Gemma brought a red dress, it was simple yet too eyecatching. May almost fell to her seat when she saw a significant amount of show at the back of the dress. Gemma sees her reaction
"Don't worry, your tattoo won't be seen. Only Facades can see it, even the elders won't see it" she winks
"But still, it seems as if my whole back will be--"
"--exposed?" Gemma cuts in with a naughty smile "Trust me, Elianna wears more seductive clothings, this is considered conservative" she showed the back of the dress and winked. May took the long shiny and silky red dress, mesmerized, she touches it then starts unbuttoning her shirt.
NURIEL.
Nuriel arrives at the Madelle Hotel with his client the young Nathan Eavesden. The young elder seems to be having a great time wearing a proper suite, Nuriel had no reason to dislike him even though he was an elder.
"Mr. Eavesden!" one flirtatious young woman greeted them while fanning herself
"Ah Calissa? Am I correct?" he says softly
the woman seemed delighted, her eyes met his and he saw her turn red "You must be his personal bodyguard?"
Nuriel nodded, he did not want any distraction so he avoided as many women as possible while staying by Eavesden's side. He watched the whole officials, trying to overhear important conversations yet Nathan always tries to get his attention when he notices his silence
"Nuriel, there are a lot of women here wanting to speak to you" Nathan teases
"I am more focused on your safety sir" he replies sincerely
"Well it could be possible that you have one special lady in your heart"
before Nuriel could answer, he spots a woman with startling eyes that seemed so familiar and she wore a black mask. Slowly she walks down the stairs, his eyes were glued on to her as she gracefully walks farther away from him
"What a beauty!" Nathan exclaims " I nearly lost my cool, I must know her name immediately. Nuriel will you please investigate for me?"
Nuriel was startled by his innocent request and nodded then left.
MAY
Shoot. It's Nuriel she thought while slowly walking away, her cover must not be blown yet she must admit she was happy to see him again. His piercing gaze almost left her in a very good mood Could he really be interested she shook away the feeling No, he cares about Elianna she spotted Debra and Gemma who getting some food they spotted her and waved then suddenly their reaction changed and then slowly turned away from her
"Excuse me" a familiar voice asks, May felt butterflies inside her stomach, she took her fan and opened it and tried to do fake an english accent
"What a very lovely evening" she says confidently "For a young man to come and follow me"
"Ah, yes it seems you've strucked many as you were descending, my client is one of the many. He was eager to know your name, he seemed awestruck earlier"
May didn't know what she was disappointed "Ah I understand" she stretched her hand "Lois Faulster"
Nuriel smiled, it was the most sincere smile she saw from him "What a lovely name" he bowed
May wanted to cry, she turned and as she was about to walk away Nuriel grabbed her hand and in that moment she felt time had stopped. He looked at her as if he knew who she was, but May gave him a defiant look telling him indirectly that he was wrong.
"Is there something bothering you?" she says softly
to her surprise Nuriel embraced her while whispering "Even if you change your appearance, accent and clothing I can still recognize you from head to toe. I've thought about you day and night and wished for your safety..." his tone seemed crushed "..yes your safety, and now you're here being exposed to the people who dearly wants your life, I don't know what your plans are May but you're going to be the death of me"." May stepped back and tried to hold back her tears, Nuriel laughs
"What are you laughing about?" she snapped
"There you go again trying to look brave. May it's okay to cry" he opens his arms
when she was going to embrace him, Nuriel smelled Nathan's scent and he was coming towards their direction. Nuriel steps back and gave May a stern look, she quickly understood and changed her expression. He admired her flexibility, he could see her facade traits emerging. Although he wasn't as pleased with her blond wig, it did look good on her for some reason. He almost couldn't contain the overwhelming feeling that was stirring inside him but it seems May was still fragile, he couldn't risk breaking her. She was as precious as his life. God forbid, he might lose her forever because she's the kind of person that would throw her life away for a friend or even a pet. He sees Nathan walking towards them with a cheery attitude, then he sees May, in her perfection. Yes she was perfect tonight that he felt that he didn't even deserve that embrace that she was about to offer him. He watched her having a conversation with Nathan Eavesden, obviously the chap was awestruck by her beauty and elegance, he looked away and just stood their as their guard.
