Facade: The Untamed Spirit

May's Long Sleep

Calissa ran for her life, she was too afraid to scream so all she did was run. Suddenly her legs gave out, and then tripped. She bruised her elbow from falling on the hard rocky ground

"Calissa" a stoic voice says

she turns and sees Elianna  standing in front of her, she looked pale and her eyes were just black as if her soul was taken somewhere.Elianna  extended her hand but she refused, then she was thrown off by a strong invisible force

"What do you want?" she screams 

"You need to die" Elianna replies

Gemma with her speed grabbed Calissa, she evaded Elianna's blows and jumped high on top of a nearby oak tree. 

"Elianna you need to stop!" she says " You don't kill innocent people!"

"She's not innocent, she is of taint blood. She knows who I am and she smells fear" she grins " If you want May to live longer, you need to give her to me"

"W-what is she talking about?" Calissa stutters "Why does May want to kill me?"

"That's not May" Gemma replies " May will never hurt you, that's. . . Elianna. She's taken over her body for some reason I don't know"

Elianna circles them, her eyes preying on the fearful girl named Calissa. Her eyes turned blood red then yellow 

" Calissa my sweet, tell dear Gemma your family name" it was more like a command than a request from Elianna who seemed to be raging with anger

Gemma turned to Calissa who still seemed in shock "Well?" she mutters

"Reverie.... I'm . . C-Calissa Reverie!" 

"The Reverie Clan, one the biggest allies of the Elders" Gemma states with horror "Were you planning to lure May-"

"-What?No!" Calissa broke her off " I didn't even know who she was! And besides even if I knew I'd never hurt May, she saved my life from that werewolf attack. . . I'm a healer. . . not a murderer" she was almost in tears and was still shaken "I . . . can't. . .possibly. . ."

"Enough!" Debra says aloud, then a ball of light hit Elianna making her unconscious. Gemma brought Calissa down and tied Elianna's hands making sure she doesn't hurt anyone in case she wakes up. 

"Were you serious on what you said earlier, that you wouldn't hurt May?" Gemma asks coldly while tying Elianna

"I meant every word, my clan's affairs doesn't concern me. I have free will" 

"Good, if you lie to me..." Gemma's eyes turned red "I will kill every person you love and I'll make sure you will be there to watch it while I bite into their necks. I meant every word".

The night was still young,  Gemma and Debra made sure Calissa went home safely and warned her to never reveal what happened that night. Calissa vowed and shut the door, she almost fainted inside her room. She escaped from her imminent death, she lived to see Elianna's fury.

Next day....

"You can't keep me here" Elianna says cheerfully " I might escape anytime soon if I wanted to"

Gemma and Debra came and shut the windows. May still hasn't regained herself making Elianna take over her body, they still couldn't understand why Elianna decided to resurface. Debra poured herself a drink "When will May come back?" she says "We don't want you here Elianna"

"I know that" Elianna mutters "Nobody does, you all fear me thinking I'll kill in a whim"

"Well that seemed to be precise yesterday" Gemma said as she took a seat

" She's a Reverie, I knew her but May didn't. Her clan is responsible for many deaths, especially Facades. She needed to be terminated" she says without remorse

"That decision is not up to you!" Debra exclaimed "May would feel horrible if you killed that girl!"

"May's life would be spared, if she was your best friend then you would reconsider what I was about to do" 

Gemma's eyes turned red "That's not how May is, she's not a killer"

"She will be soon and you can't stop her. The AVNAR lives inside of her and it will destroy her sanity like it did with mine" she looked at Debra with a grin "Not even a powerful healer can stop her from transforming. It's just a matter of time"

"Aren't you powerful enough to control the AVNAR? You did it all your life!" Gemma points out "May needs your strength but you can't let her be you, she's different."

there was silence, and Elianna smiles again " That's what's beautiful about it my dear Gemma... May is part of the shattered souls I forgot I had. She's the good part of me, the more human part of me"

"Wait you mean. . . May is a part of your shattered soul?"Debra asks indignantly "That means you and her are --"

"--Ding dong" Elianna laughs " Yes, we are one and AVNAR is . . . a guest."

Rrring... Rrring!

Calissa ran out of the bathroom and picked up the phone

"Hello?" she answered

" Honey? It's me your mom. I'm coming over this afternoon, be in your best outfit."

"o-Oh really? May I know the reason for your unexpected visit?" she asks trying to control her shaken voice, she also knew her mom could sense if she was lying or hiding something so she had to be extremely careful if she lies to her mom 

"Well we're having dinner with the whole clan tonight!" her mom announced happily " Your distant cousins will be there and also their cousin's cousin and also your grandfather's sister Marie Lou do you remember her cause I sure don't" she continues chatting while Calissa face was in utter shock, just the thought of her whole clan being in the same roof with the legendary Facade who can possibly massacre them in a minute was a horrible nightmare

"Mother what are we celebrating?" she slowly asks

"Nothing much " her mom replies

"Then why are we having this grand reunion? Haha" she forces a laugh "It seems so ridiculous that we are going to see each other without any reason don't you think? I mean it is too much" Calissa wondered where she was taking the conversation, because she always knew that the Reverie clan loves to throw lavish parties even for trivial reasons 

"I'll be there by 3pm, bring your coat" her mother finally says and the she hangs up.

Calissa held her breath and then started to panic " It's going to be alright Calissa!" she assures herself while combing her blond hair repeatedly on the same side "Nothing bad is going to happen, it's going to whoopy dandy . . . ha ha ha" 

she didn't know that Elianna listening very closely even if her hotel room was far away. Elianna couldn't help but smile "Definitely whoopy dandy" she whispers.
