Chapter XXXIII

MINA'S POV

He ate beside me, even though I was asking him to go home already. I don't want to be seen by my dad.

He happily ate the Chinese take out I got for him. He seemed really pleased of my simple act and I did not expect that he would actually like it. He has a soft heart and I think that's dangerous and cute at the same time. People might overwhelm the goodness in him and I don't want that to happen to him. He's a nice guy and he deserves every goodness in this world.

He finished eating, so I asked him if we can go home now. He nodded and took his scooter out. He jumped in, so I rode on his back and gripped tightly on his bag. I kind of trust him now, but there's still this phobia inside of me. I do not know if I will still be able to overcome that fear, but I have a feeling that this guy might just help me.

We arrived at the apartment swiftly. He parked his scooter and we both got off. We silently walked upstairs and went to our units, but before I can even enter, he held the sleeve of my shirt and smiled. His action sent butterflies in my stomach. He's still considerate.

"What?" I asked.

"Thank you," he answered. "Can I see you tomorrow night?"

"Where?"

"Here." It took me a while before saying a yes. When I agreed, his smile became wider and I can tell that he cannot contain the happiness within him. I wanted to laugh because of his reactions, but I just chuckled. He thanked me again and entered his unit. I sighingly entered mine and greeted Sorn who is still studying on the table.

The next day, Sorn woke me up early to tell me that someone waits for me at the sofa. I was still very dizzy and I don't want to see anyone early in the morning, so I asked Sorn if she can tell to that person to visit me on some other days instead.

"He won't go," I was rest assured that it was Jimin who she was talking about, so I stood up and looked at the person at the living room. My eyebrows crossed harder than ever when I saw a demon.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked Daniel.

He smirked and gestured Sorn to leave us two alone for privacy. He stood up, "Babe, I missed you." Fuck this.

"What do you want?" I asked. "If you want sex, then go to Sana unnie. I'm tired--"

"That's not what I want," he walked forward which made me step back. I admit that I'm pretty scared as of the moment, but I can't show that. I have to look brave. I have to look like a sass. I do not want to be seen as someone very fragile. "I want..." he again stepped forward and I stepped back. He continuously did it until my back reached the wall. "...you know what daddy wants."

"Yah!" As if on cue, Jimin came out of nowhere. There's a bouquet of flowers in his right hand, so he gently placed it on the table and bravely faced Daniel. "Don't you touch her!" He yelled out. Daniel, smirking, tilted his head to face Jimin. "Where did you get the fucking nerve to see her after every little thing you did to her?!" He shouted, mad. I can see his rage.

"Daniel." Daniel was about to step towards Jimin when he heard a voice calling his name. His eyebrows met when he saw Sana unnie by the door.

"Baby!" The jerk called. "What are you doing here?" He asked and cupped his girlfriend's cheeks. Sana unnie looked unbothered. She stared at him with a blank expression. She then raised her hands and then the next thing we knew is that she handcuffed his left wrist with her right wrist. Wait...what's happening?

Sana unnie sighed, "Kang Daniel, you are under arrest for raping Myoui Mina." She said very clearly that my eyes widened. So she found the courage to imprison her boyfriend now?

"What? Baby?" Daniel couldn't react. Everything seemed unreal for him, even for me, to be honest. And then his eyebrows furrowed, "You're not a harlot aren't you?"

Sana unnie held her head low, "I am not." Shit. She then raised her head and stared at him straight into his eyes. "I'm a spy and I was hired to look after Mina."

I was flustered when I heard my name. She mentioned my name and she said that she was just hired to look after me.

"Jimin knows it." She added and so my eyes drifted to Jimin right away. His eyes shook and he gulped when Sana unnie said those words.

"Your game is over, Daniel." Sana unnie said. As if on cue, few police officers held Daniel and stopped him from running away. He was forced to go with Sana unnie who is handcuffed with him.

"Jimin," Sana unnie called him. "Thank you for your hard work." She then fled and left us.

I stared at Jimin and I can tell that he's scared of what I might say. I am in anger, but I don't know how should I contain it. He's part of this fucking game. He played me.

I stepped towards him and faced him, "You are such a douche." I whispered through gritted teeth.

"M-Mina..." He stuttered. "...Dr. Myoui just--"

"--so you're a spy, too, huh?" I smirked, trying to hold back these tears. "Fuck you, Jimin! This is bullshit!" I didn't want to hear whatever he has to say, so I ran away from him.

Why now? Why did this happen now that I'm falling for him?

OMNISCIENT

Jimin stayed at the same spot where Mina left him. The tears that he was holding back before now fell. It streamed through his cheeks and he then just realized that he must go after her and explain his heart. He wants to apologize, but she is too mad to hear from him.

He fled from the building and started looking for Mina. He contacted Dr. Myoui first, "Doctor..." he spoke as soon as he answered.

"Are you okay, Jimin?" The senior asked.

"...Mina knows everything now. I can't find her."

"What? Report to my office now." With that, the call ended. He tried catching for his breath after that call. He hailed a cab and started contacting Hyorin.

"Hello? Noona," Jimin said.

"Jimin?"

"Noona, Mina is missing."

"What?"

"Please help me find her."

"Alright. I'll give you an update once we find her."

Jimin felt relieved, "Thank you, noona." He then ended the call and hopped off when they reached Mnet U.

"Alright, I'll give you an update once we find her." Hyorin ended the call and stared back at Mina. Her eyes are swollen and both of her cheeks and nose are red from crying. The harlot sighed and handed her a bottle of water that Mina took and stared at. "Mina, you can't just lock yourself from them forever. They will find you no matter how hard you hide."

"I'm sorry, unnie." Mina did not look at Hyorin. She was embarrassed for an unknown reason. She just wants to hide herself from everyone who lied to her. She trusted Sana and especially Jimin, so she was in shock when she knew their secret.

"What are your plans now?" Hyorin asked and sat beside her.

She shrugged her shoulders, not knowing what should she do. "I don't know. I can't sink everything in my mind yet."

"You should get some rest," Hyorin kissed her temple and patted her head before fleeing. Jooyoung dragged Hyorin to their kitchen and asked about her.
