OMNISCIENT
Jimin is on his way to his English class when he bumped into someone, causing his books and notebooks to fall. He immediately squatted down to pick his things up, but the lady that he bumped in also helped him in getting his things. They both stood up and the lady smiled, "I'm so sorry."
"I-It's...alright." He said and watched the lady pass by him. He saw a guy giving her a high five while saying her name. "Dahyun?" He whispered. "Okay...see you around." He continued walking when his Biology teacher asked him to drop by his office after his classes. He wanted to ask why, but he just nodded and headed to his room.
He saw Seulgi sitting somewhere on the second row. His heart ached, but his head said that he must be mad at her because of their bad break up. As much as she wanted to go sit beside her, someone took the seat already, so he had no choice but to take a seat on the vacant seat behind Seulgi. They waited for their English professor to come and when he did, he started discussing.
He's just actually staring at Seulgi's hair and back since that's the only thing that he can stare at. He's not minding the discussion since he's been bothered by his heartbreak. He suddenly craved for soju, so he texted Taemin and asked him if he can spare some of his time for a drink.
"Park Jimin." He got caught by his professor, of course. He placed his phone back on his pocket and stood up, causing almost all of the students to look at him, including Seulgi. She's stunned to notice that he's just sitting behind her. "Please retell the story of The Crow and The Fox."
"What?"
"The Crow and The Fox." His professor repeated.
He bit his lip because he's unsure of his answer, but he still answered his professor anyway. "There was a Crow that is holding some cheese on its beak and the Fox smelled the aroma of the food, so he looked up at the Crow and said some words to flatter him. He made the Crow sing and when he opened his mouth to sing, the cheese fell and the Fox obtained it. The Fox told the Crow that too much flattery is a bad thing...is that correct?" His professor was impressed of what he answered since he somehow got it right.
"What's the moral, Mr. Park?"
"Don't sing when you have food in your mouth?" Everyone laughed at what he answered, but Seulgi found it stupid and absurd. She thought that he's trying too hard to be funny even though he's not. He got no jams after all.
"Ms. Kang Seulgi, please help him." The professor said.
"What?" She raised a brow and even pointed herself. "Me?"
"Is there any more Kang Seulgi in this class?"
She groaned and stood up lazily, "The moral is..." she trailed off. "...too much pride in yourself can make you lose your own treasures in life." She then looked at Jimin, as if she's saying those words to him indirectly. "Too much pride can make you lose your loved ones." He gritted through his teeth because he thought that Seulgi is actually asking for some fight.
"I didn't lose you. You lost me." Jimin's words just slipped out of his mouth.
"Correction. You lost me." Seulgi answered back and then the professor and the other students just watched them fight because of their past relationship. They really argued in class.
"Who's busy with some books?" Seulgi asked. "Who's so busy of himself that he didn't even bother looking after his loved one?"
He looked away and gulped, "Who gave up? Was it me?"
