Chapter XXXIX

OMNISCIENT

He thought that his christmas would be warm now that Sana is with him, but it was all just a mere thought. He assumed that they wouldn't break up, but she did. She wanted to get away from being guilty even though it may hurt him. The girl who once made him believe that she will help him recover is now the cause of his pain.

Jimin is soullessly staring at the outside of the café. It's winter and he just graduated a couple of months ago. His family came for his graduation, but it was just his family. Taemin and Yonghwa were too busy and so are Hyorin and Jooyoung to congratulate him personally. They just sent text messages to him.

Well, Seulgi, Sorn and Bambam was able to congratulate him since they are at the event. Seulgi and Sorn also graduated.

Little did he know, while he was taking pictures with his family, Sana is silently looking from afar. As much as she wants to congratulate her past lover, she can't because she's too ashamed of herself. She let herself fall in a situation that it was hard to escape from. She never really fell in love with Jimin. She saw Taehyung in him and that made her feel "love" for him. Realizations were too late.

"Congratulations on your graduation," his eyes slowly glanced at the lady standing by the table. She's holding a tray of food. "Can I share a table with you?" She asked and he just said yes.

"You weren't at the graduation ceremony? Aren't you a 4th year college student?" Jimin questioned and Dahyun made a small laugh.

"I'm a freshman, mister." His eyes suddenly grew wide. He never knew that Dahyun is a freshman because she's friends with Seulgi. "Music major."

"I can see," he nodded and reminisced the moment where she played the organ by herself during the ball. "Where did you learn piano?"

"Learnt it since I was young." She said and started eating. "Do you play any instruments?"

"I also learnt a bit of piano," he told her.

"May I ask? What happened to you and your girlfriend?" As much as Jimin wanted to avoid questions regarding Sana, he can't because a lot of people wants answers from him.

"She broke up with me." He said with a blank face, eyes avoiding Dahyun's stares.

"What was the reason?"

FLASHBACK

"Let's break up." Jimin stopped from dancing at looked at Sana sincerely.

"What?" He didn't want to believe it. He doesn't want to. He doesn't want another heartbreak again. He had enough from Seulgi and Mina already and having another one from Sana breaks him into tinier pieces.

"Let's break up, Jimin." Sana repeated. His hands fell from her waist and Sana retrieved her arms from his nape. "This relationship won't work."

"What?" He smirked. "Everything is working perfectly, Sana. I don't understand!" His voice raised a little, causing other people to look at them.

"For you, it does." Sana answered seriously. "For me, it's not." She added. "Jimin, I don't love you." Those words broke him down. His tears started streaming through his cheeks.

Out of frustration, he rubbed his hands against his face. He pinched the bridge of his nose to calm down and looked at Sana once more. "Tell me you do."
