Chapter XIII

OMNISCIENT

"You can just drop me at that apartment." Jimin pointed a pale yellow-colored apartment that is between another building and a coffee shop. Jooyoung steered his wheel near the area and pressed the hazard button. He unlocked the doors before Jimin can hop off. "Thanks, hyung." He smiled at him through the rear view mirror, so Jooyoung smiled back. They both nodded at each other while Hyorin is still beside Mina. She decided to sit at the backseat with her while she's fast asleep, but the young harlot woke up so sudden.

She looked around the area and noticed that it's very familiar, "We're here already?" She asked which made Hyorin and Jooyoung's eyebrows furrow. The young boy who was about to hop off stiffened from what he heard.

"What do you mean, hun?" Hyorin asked. Mina looked through the car window and confirmed that she already arrived at Bambam's place. "This is the place where you stay?"

She hummed a faint yes which made Jimin look back at her. Their eyes met, but Mina decided to look away first. Seeing Jimin makes her uncomfortable in a way she can't explain. "You sure?" Jooyoung asked her. She again hummed a yes as a response. As if on cue, Hyorin received a call from Hwasa. The woman from the other line has been telling Hyorin and Jooyoung to come back to the hotel.

"We'll be there in a few." Hyorin said and ended the call. "We'll drop you here. Is it okay?"

"Yeah. Thanks a lot, unnie..." Hyorin gave her the warmest hug ever and even kissed her hair as she's caressing it. She glanced at Jimin who is silently watching the two. He gulped once they met each other's gazes.

"We have to go now." She smiled at her. "Is it okay if Jimin is going to take you to your unit?" She seemed hesitant once Hyorin asked her question. As much as she wanted Hyorin to take her to her room, she can't because she doesn't want to be a bother anymore, so she just nodded her head slightly. Jimin breathed deep once she saw Mina's decision.

Jooyoung and Hyorin looked at him while Mina is staring at somewhere else. "Can you assist her?" He knows that the two is counting on him, so he just said yes since he has no choice anyway. He hopped off and opened the car's door for the two. Mina is holding on Hyorin's hand tightly as she comes down. She even hesitated to let go because thinking of the fact that Jimin will assist her scares her. She felt like she's in a trauma after what happened to her earlier. "We'll leave you to her, okay? Please look after her while we're away."

"O-Okay," Jimin had no choice. When they bid their good byes, Mina walked towards the apartment's gate, so she can open it. Jimin watched her walk and there is this guilt feeling inside of him as he was watching her. He was annoyed of her presence, but after seeing what kind of life she has, that annoyance faded.

She headed towards the stairs and started walking upstairs, so Jimin locked the gate of the apartment and tried helping her. Both of her hands are tightly gripped on the rails as she takes one step at a time. He can hear her little grunts whenever she takes a step. Since she's wearing heels, she almost slipped out of balance, causing Jimin to hold her back, so she won't fall.

"P-Please," she stuttered. "D-Don't touch me." Even though she's struggling, she still said those words with conviction. Jimin didn't say anything, so he embarrassingly took his hands off from her back and walked behind her instead.

After some time, they arrived at the second floor of the building where both of their units can be found. He noticed that she's opening a door beside his unit together with some of his dormmates. Once she entered, he realized that she's just living beside a harlot.

He decided to shrug off the things that he's thinking of and just entered the unit. He found Yonghwa carrying Taemin towards his room since his friend is drunk.

"What happened, hyung?" Jimin asked and assisted him right away. They both placed Taemin on his bed after successfully entering the room.

Yonghwa stretched his hands out and yawned. "I don't know. He just came in drunk." Jimin sighed and looked at Taemin who is in a deep slumber. "What happened to the party that you went to?" He asked him.

Jimin shook his head sideways, "Nothing. I just want to rest my head." Yonghwa nodded his head right away and exited the bedroom, so he can go back to the kitchen.

"Oh, sure. No problem. Sleep tight, little boy." Jimin frowned. He hates to be called little boy because he claims that he's a man already even though he acts like one most of the time. He faced Taemin's direction and heaved a deep sigh. He started fixing himself before going to sleep.

The next morning, Jimin woke up because he's hearing someone puking. He opened one of his eyes and peeked at the comfort room. The door is closed, but he can hear someone vomiting inside. He immediately thought that it could be Taemin because he was drunk last night. He must've needed to let out whatever he needs to let out.

Jimin decided to stand up and fix his bed. As if on cue, Yonghwa entered their room wearing formal clothes which made him cross his eyebrows in confusion. "Why are you dressed that way, hyung?" He asked.

Yonghwa chuckled, "I have a job interview this morning."

"Job interview? For what?"

"I need to earn extra money for my own school fees." Jimin found his reason strange. He knows that Yonghwa is a rich guy and that guy doesn't need to eaen money anymore. He can just withdraw any amount from his bank account to get money, but why is he earning? That's just insane in Jimin's point of view. "Anyway," Yonghwa wanted to change the topic. "I prepared you guys breakfast and there's also hangover soup for Taemin on the dining table. You can just heat it up if you want."

"Noted." Jimin nodded. Yonghwa was about tot turn his back when he suddenly remembered something. "What is it, hyung?"

"Ah, do you mind giving our neighbor some of our breakfast as well?" Jimin shook his head sideways because he doesn't mind at all anyway. "Bambam asked me a favor to give the girl next door breakfast."

"What do you mean?" His eyebrows furrowed.

"There's this new girl living beside our unit. I think I saw you bring her home yesterday night." Jimin wasn't able to answer back because he's already seen. He can't hide anything anymore.

"Do you know her, hyung?"

Yonghwa shook his head sideways as a no, "Nope. This is my first time seeing her. Bambam just asked me a favor to give her breakfast." He reasoned out.

"Who's Bambam?"

"It's our neighbor, little boy. Don't you remember?" Jimin tried remembering anything that has to do with Bambam, but he failed. Yonghwa looked at his wrist watch and told him that he has to go or else. He reminded Jimin about the girl living next door before closing the door.

Jimin went to the dining area and saw two lunchboxes. It's prepared and it looks like it's the one that he has to deliver. Since he has no choice but to do it, he carried it and knocked on Mina's door. He waited for a few minutes before she finally opened up.

Mina looked shocked and he seemed immovable after their eyes met. He decided to look away first. He handed out the lunchboxes right away.

"B-Bambam asked us a favor to give you breakfast." He explained even though Mina didn't ask for one. Mina looked at it for a few seconds without any expression on her face which made him nervous. "Good morning and eat well." Mina just took it from him and closed the door on is face without saying any thank you's. Jimin sighed and wanted to knock, but he doesn't have any reason why should he talk to her again. Talking to her would just make her hate him even more.

He decided to go back to his unit and eat breakfast with Taemin.
