I find myself running to the beach, climbing up the place where Luke had taken me and sitting down, without caring where exactly.

My whole life, as I knew it, is being falling apart.

I have a sister. She must be fifteen. Emma. Dad wanted to be next to his daughter Emma.

Yeah, mum and dad wanted to have many children. Much more than five. I know it's stupid now since their marriage is long destroyed, but these days were actually nice.

We weren't the richest family but we had everything we could ever ask for. Even our own personal swing and swirling slide. What I preferred though was the huge tree house dad Ross and I had built. When I say I, I mean that I was just giving them the tools and stuff. This is helpful too.

As i get lost in thoughts of a past full of happiness, my eyes fall on the red bag with a blue stripe in the middle.

I open it and empty all its contain.

Yellowish letters start to fall and pile up. That's like a hundred letters. How could she hide them so easily?

Since I have the whole day by myself, I examine the letters and list them by date. I can read some of them, I have so much time.

I look up at the bright evening sky, hoping that these letters will give me some answers.

I take a letter in my hand and examine it. It's already open so I just unfold it.

Dear family,

I can't even tell you how sorry I am for what I did. I'm so sorry for leaving you and I'm so sorry for telling Lea it's her fault. It's not. It's all on me. I completely blew up a whole life. But first let me explain myself and tell you everything that has happened so far.

Her name is Rose. Rose Harper. I met her a night at the bar I usually go with the guys. I was at the fifth, maybe sixth, bottle of beer and I was drunk. That's when Alan showed me her. She was sitting all alone at the bench drinking a double whiskey. Her black hair were falling on her shoulders and hid her face, but, somehow, I knew she was beatiful. I didn't know what I was doing, I couldn't control myself. I approached her and greeted her. Then I noticed the smeared make up on her face. I offered to buy her a drink and as an exchange, she would tell me what happened to her.

She had just found out that her boyfriend was cheating in her and she was devastated. You see, she had proposed her the day before and then, she found him on their bed with another woman. It is hard to be cheated on, so I tried to do my best to comfort her.

We were drinking and drinking and drinking while she was ditching her fiancè. I look at her hand and couldn't help but notice the ring on her finger. The diamond could have been bigger, but the size doesn't matter. It's the thought that counts. She followed my eyes and glared at the ring with disgust.

Then, I don't know how, we ended up kissing and things got a little out if control. When I woke up the next day, I couldn't remember much. Just that I made a huge mistake by sleeping with Rose Harper.

This is all I could remember from the night we first met. I have to go now. I wish I could write more, I really like writing to you. Write back soon.

I love you,

Dad

A couple of tears hit the paper.

I can't believe he was hiding that for us. And she was hiding the truth. The truth we all wanted to hear so much.

Why can't they understand that they can't hide things forever? They had to tell us the truth one day.
