Harry’s POV

I had no idea when I woke up this morning that today would be the most trying day of my entire life. To tell you the truth, there were moments when I didn’t think I would be able to make it out.

Dear Lord give me strength.

Now what exactly was so trying you might be wondering.

Well it all started when Louis walked into school looking very upset and he told me he and Eleanor were having problems.

You’d have guessed right if you said I was a little bit pleased by this news.

But Louis was about to breakdown right there in front of me, and I knew what I had to do.

I pulled him out into the parking lot, suggesting that we just ditch the whole day and go on an adventure.

Cher and I used to do it all the time, and some of my fondest memories from Carter are from when we cut class and drove around the countryside for the day.

Louis seemed a little apprehensive, but after I assured him that this was I great idea and that he can trust me, he grinned hugely and sprinted to his car.

We pealed out of the parking lot; Louis turning on his stereo and the beautiful voice of Chris Martin filled my ears.

I sang along to Coldplay’s Paradise and soon enough, Louis was singing along, too.

We grinned at each other as we sang out hearts out and Louis sped down a country highway.

We just drove and sang for a good forty-five minutes until finally Louis pulled over on the side of the road.

“Do we have any clue where we are?” He said with a laugh.

“No idea.” I replied, not the least bit worried.

“Should we try to figure that out?” Louis said looking at me quizzically.

“Just keep driving, Tomlinson.” I said shaking my head and chuckling as I kicked my feet up on the dash.

“Whatever you say, Styles.” Louis said, sticking his tongue out at me.

I couldn’t help but imagine it in my mouth.

After about ten more miles, Louis pulled into a parking lot. He got out of the car and when I didn’t follow him immediately, he stopped and motioned for me to come with.

I jumped out of the car and ran to catch up with Louis.

“Where are we?” I asked as I looked around.

I couldn’t see much more than a bunch of trees surrounding the parking lot and a small trail leading out of the parking lot and into the dense forest.

“You’ll find out soon enough.” Louis said, not looking back at me as he made his way onto the narrow path.

We walked in silence for a few minutes, until finally the trees started to thin and I could see water.

The trail ended and scene in front of me almost took my breath away.

Louis turned and grinned at me as my eyes widened to take it all in. In front of us was the most beautiful, crystal-blue lake with white sand all around it.

“I didn’t realize I was on the right road until I saw one of my friend’s houses.” Louis said. “Eleanor and I came here once for an anniversary or something.”

“Must be a special place for you then.” I said quietly.

Louis shrugged. “Maybe not anymore.”
