What have I done?

I opened my eyes slowly. I was lying face down on the cold floor and used my arms to lift myself up slowly. I looked at the hallway. There was ice climbing up the walls, and on the ceiling and floor there were sharp shards of ice from where the ice explosion from my arm had happened. My ears felt like they were ringing. I rubbed my head and tried to get my thoughts back. I instantly remembered Loki and Thor being blown back by my ice. I stood up wanting to know if my brothers were ok. I soon as I stood up I was instantly felt dizzy and fell to the floor. I shouted out in pain and looked down to my leg. There was blood everywhere, and I saw a huge gash down my leg. I wasn’t dizzy, it was my leg. I held it in my hands and shouted out in pain. “Hazel?” I heard a voice shout out. Loki. I crawled to the other end of the hallway passing through the snow and ice from where the explosion from my arm happened. I carried on crawling on my stomach, with a large trail of blood behind me from my leg.

As I crawled just a bit further, I saw Thor and Loki lying together. They were both on their stomachs. I tried to stand up. As soon as I got on my feet I fell instantly and hit my head on the floor. I screamed out in pain as I hit the floor. I ignored the pain and just let the tears flow silently down my cheeks. “Thor, Loki?” I tried to crawl as quickly as possible towards them. As soon as I reached them, Loki and Thor sat up slowly and I fell in their arms. I gave them huge hugs as they both held me in their arms. I couldn’t stop myself from crying aloud.

“Hazel, what happened? Hazel, your leg!” Loki had noticed the long trail of blood that had travelled behind me. He looked down at my leg and the blood seeping through the deep gash running down the side of my shin. “I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what that was. I didn’t know I could do that. I don’t think that was even me. I just don’t know!” I sobbed into their chests as they held me in their arms. “It’s ok, it’s ok.” whispered Thor. I looked at their faces. They had small cuts all over their faces. My face dropped when I looked at their faces.

I was instantly reminded of myself, in that dark closet, with Bucky holding me in his arms. There was cuts all over his face, there were cuts all over mine. I could remember Ray smashing things and shouting outside the closet door. I could feel the blood running down my face. I was woken up from the flashback by Thor and Loki, shaking me and saying my name.

“Hazel, Hazel...Hazel!” I woke up from my flashback and stared at them blankly. I looked down at the necklace that was given to me by my best friend. It was leather and there was a single red star dangling from it. I held the star in the palm of my hand and thought of Bucky. My best friend. I looked up at their faces again. I promised myself I would never hurt anyone close to me. And I just did. I had hurt my two brothers. The two people who really cared for me. Loki saw me looking at his and Thor’s face. “Hazel, it’s ok, it doesn’t hurt, see.” said Loki. He held a hand up to his face and touched the cuts. I shook my head. I promised. I promised I would never hurt anyone I love. And I did. I shook my head. “No...” I whispered to them. I got up out of their arms and held my leg. I limply ran away crying.
