In front of me were to lines of guards standing opposite each other armed with spears. The room was plaited with gold. Even the floor was gold. In front of the two lines of soldiers were a set of golden stairs. The golden stairs led to a large golden throne. On each of the arms was a golden lionhead. Behind the throne were two – what looked like - horns. On the top of the golden horns were two perched crows, one on each side.
Sitting in the throne was a man. He was about the same height as Loki. He had grey shoulder length hair and a grey beard. Over his right eye was a golden patch. He was wearing the same sort of armour as Thor. He had a red cape but instead of silver armour it was gold. He was holding a golden staff. We walked past the guards. The man stood up.
"Loki...What is it? Who is that?" The man said in a deep voice. He nodded towards me. "Father, this is Hazel, she needs a home and I have offered her one here in the palace. I have seen her past, she needs our help. She possesses special abilities and I am going to train her to become the next Avenger. She will protect Asgard as she will with Earth. She is going to become part of the family."
He stepped down and walked towards us. I felt intimidated by him. His staff banged on the floor every time he took a step forward. He stopped in front of me. I looked up at him. He held out his hand. "My name is Odin, King of Asgard. Hello Hazel." I reached out to his hand and shook it. It was dry and wrinkly. He still looked intimidating yet tried to smile softly. I smiled back politely. “You will become princess of Asgard Hazel. I will treat you like a daughter I never had. As long as what Loki said is true. Do you possess magical abilities and will you protect Asgard?” he asked with concern in his face. I nodded slightly then put my hand flat in front of me. I closed my eyes and concentrated. I opened my eyes to see snow coming out of my hand. I closed my hand to stop the snow. I smiled softly at him. “Welcome, my daughter, princess of Asgard.”
