Natalie's POV:

It had been about a month since my interview with Brendon. During this time he had to go through a series of house checks, background checks, and he had to file and sign lots of paperwork to have me officially signed over to him. While he had been doing this, we had fun says together. He would pick me up about once a week to go out for the day and have fun and get to know more about eachother. We basically became like best friends after that. Even if he was going to be my father, we could still be buddies.
Finally, after a few more days of Brendon being looked into to make sur he was a good fit for me, he go to take me home. I had packed mostly all my stuff about a week ago out of excitement.

As soon as I heard his car pull up outside the home, I jumped up and ran downstairs as fast as I could. I greeted Brendon at the door and let him inside to talk to Ms.Calvin. He seemed about as excited as I was to finally bring me home. I couldn't wait. I had never seen his home, he always insisted that we wait until I was officially his.

"Hey Nat, time to go! Grab your stuff and I'll meet you out by the car okay?" Brendon said hapily.

"Okie dokie!" I said as I practically sprinted upstairs.

I grabbed my suitcase and my other bags and made my way downstairs. I said my final goodbyes to all the other kids, who weren't necessarily happy or sad to see me go. I finally turned to Ms.Calvin and gave her a giant bear hug.

"Thank you for taking care of me." I said, my voice muffled from my face being buried into her chest.

"You're welcome love." she said, tears pooling in her eyes.

I finally pulled away and gathered my bags. I made my way outside and met Brendon at the car, just like he said. He helped me stuff all my things in the backseat, because he said he had some stuff in the trunk that was taking the whole thing up. We got in the car and Brendon started driving to his home. Our home.

"Here we are." he said as he pulled into the driveway.

It was huge. I don't know what I expected, but it sure as hell wasn't this. Maybe he makes a lot of money? He did say he is in a band. He took my hand and gave it a small squeeze, as if to tell me to calm down, that this is going to be great.

He helped me grab my bags and led me inside. I instantly smiled at the large blue banner that hung from the ceiling in the living room that said "Welcome Home Natalie!". He looked back at me and gave me a quick smile.

"Do you like it?" he asked.

"Yes, this is amazing!" I replied, starstruck at the fact that this is my new home.

He showed me up to my room, which I was taken aback by because it was so big. It even had it's own bathroom! He let me put my stuff down and gave me the full tour of the house, and the studio in the backyard.

"Jeez, what do you even do for a living? You're like, rich!" I said, genuinely interested.

"I told you, I'm in a band! It's called Panic! at the Disco." he replied.

My jaw dropped.

"My best friend is like, in love with you. Oh my god, she is going to kill me for not realizing that..." I trailed off, without really thinking.

"Ahh, so your friend is a sinner huh? That's pretty cool." he said, walking back to my room.

I followed, not really knowing what else to do in the moment. He helped me unpack my stuff and told me we can go pick out some stuff for my room tomorrow.

As he picked up my tøp poster and hung it on the wall, he said "You know, I know Tyler and Josh. We are pretty good friends."

"WHAT!" I yelled, not really intending to.

I covered my mouth with my hands right after, and Brendon chuckled at me.

"Yeah. We hang out sometimes and we go to a lot of the same festivals that they are at." he said nonchalantly.

"That's so cool! I've only met them once, they are so nice." I said, trying to seem more relaxed that I was before.

"Maybe I could re-introduce you to them some time." he replied nonchalantly.

"That would be cool." I said, trying to stay calm.

After a while, we had finished putting up all my pictures and posters on the wall.

"So... we should probably get something to eat... any ideas?" Brendon asked, seeming a little off after a long time of silence while we were unpacking my things.

"Uh... pizza?" I suggested.

"Sure."

Brendon then quickly left the room and made his way into the living room. He ordered the pizza and we ate in silence after it had arrived.

"I think I'm going to head to bed, goodnight." I broke the silence, trying to escape as it wasn't exactly a comfortable silence.

"Oh okay... goodnight then." he replied as I walked quickly to my room.
