TRIS POV

As the bus rocks, I hear screams coming for people of all ages. Tiffany and Beth embrace in fear while parents grab onto their kids tightly. And all I'm doing is standing there.

"Tris go yell at the bus driver!" Beth yells to me from across the bus.

"Ma'm I'm sorry to tell you, but I can't do anything!" the bus driver yells back. The bus goes off the road and starts rolling down the hill like a little kid on a warm day.

More screams. I think one might be coming from my mouth, but I'm not sure because everything is a blur of colors. The hill can't be more then 20 feet tall, but it feels like we're rolling down Mt. Everest.

We hit the water with a large splash and water is already filling the bus. I wish I could say it was filling slow, but that would be a total lie because it was filling up super fast, within a few minutes it was already a foot or two high.

The bus driver, I think he said his name was Jeff? Comes farther back into the bus to help us. "Carefully slide open the
windows, not too many though because otherwise the bus will fill too fast. Then some people can climb out those and swim up to safety. Anyone who is a good swimmer should go first to help the people who aren't as good swimmers to shore."

People move immediately, opening windows and beginning to climb out. I see why he said to not open all the windows, the bus is filling up twice as fast! As I'm waiting my turn to climb out the window, I feel hands I don't want to feel on my shoulder. They are small and warm, and smell like soap and the beach.

"C'mon you little rat! You should go last or not at all!" Tiffany yells at me.

In my quiet voice I say "I think you're the real rat."

"Hey! How DARE you insult my bestie! Now you're coming with us, it's not a choice or a request, it's a demand and a requirement." Beth snarled. They push me to the back where no windows are open and grab a baby blanket from he floor and tie it around my mouth.

"So no one can hear your screams for help", Tiffany says as she tightly ties it around my mouth. I try to scream, but all that comes out is a few muffled. "What are they trying to do?" I think to myself.

"Found some zip ties." Beth whispers.

"Perfect." Tiffany says with an evil grin on her face. I try to scream again. They take the zip ties and tie my wrists together, then tie each one to a bus seat. "So you can't swim." Tiffany remarks. She takes them and ties my ankles together, then ties my ankle to a new seat. I'm a few inches off the ground and it's extremely uncomfortable.

"So you really can't swim, and so it takes longer for you to get out if you even can." Beth tells me. They both laugh loudly.

"Bye bye Tris! We sure won't miss you, but I will kinda miss our almost daily bonding experiences!" Tiffany tells me. I try screaming for a final time.

I hear feet shuffling and the bus driver telling everyone to hurry. The water is almost at my face, I could only have a few minutes left to live, and I think everyone already left the bus. I don't want to die, but do I have any other option?
