Forth drove home with one elbow resting on the windowsill while he gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles went white. His dark eyes flickered to a yellow parchment lying innocent on the deck. He couldn't believe it. Hardly a few days in school and already a note from the headmistress. A record no doubt.
He picked up the note with a free hand and read it again.
Beam Baramee is having trouble keeping up with lessons. Please help your cousin with midterms.
Regards,
Head Mistress RoseForth hissed in annoyance, pulling at the buttons of his jacket as a gust of wind hit him. He looked at the road ahead in a daze, trying to forget the little 'episode' he had in the morning.
Thankfully, Phayo weren't there to witness his frenzied search for the whitener.
All because he'd written one word that had never been supposed to be there in the first place.
Love.
Where the hell had that come from?
Forth didn't know why he had to get so worked up at that one little elusive word.
It wasn't like he cared for that boy. And the only reason, he comforted him yesterday was because of the tears... and shit, Forth was vulnerable to tears... even if it was a boy who was sobbing.
He pulled the car into the building's parking lot. And just as he was about to get out, he bumped into someone. He staggered back and found himself staring at two teenagers. One with glasses and a shrewd 'I'm shits smarter than you all' look and the other- a more genial and friendly version. They wore the same school uniform. On retrospect, it was the same uniform as Beam's.
"You're from... Kasetsart?"
The cheerful one nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes,P. My name is Mingkwan and this is..." he made the other bow. "...Nong Kit."
"Hey, Ai'Kit. I think this is the place but in which apartment does Ai'Beam stay?"
"How am I supposed to know. You dragged me here."
"Ai'Kit! I dragged you here because you were supposed to help the boy in school and now the school secretary told me a note has been sent to his house. What if his parents are angry?" He reprimanded his friend.
"Well it's their problem anyway."
"MONGKOL INTOCHAR YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP YOUR FRIENDS."
"He's a bloody stalker!"
"Shut UP! I guess we'll have to go in and try each apartment. YOSH!" Ming threw his hands in the air.
Kit groaned but just then a car stopped by them and a handsome young man got out.
"Ai'Kit-can maybe he can help us."
Just as Ming had said it the said man stalked up to them, "You're from... Kasetsart?"
"Hi.Nong Ming. And this is..." he made the Kit bow. "...Nong Kit."
"Aaa...We're looking for Beam Baramee. Do you know where he lives?"
"Yeah follow me. My name is Forth Jaturapom by the way. I'm Beam's cousin." He said as he strode in front.
Ming wondered if Kit understood what the googly eyes he made at him meant. Kit only glared in reply. Eh? Was he angry? Probably not. It was probably just how Kit's face was. In fact Ming couldn't remember a time when Kit's expression was any different. Well maybe he did smile once in the park...and another time in the cafe...actually both times they went to the cafe Kit had smiled.
