Jake's POV;

I sat in front of Miss Peregrine who was on her new phone. Emma sat next to me and watched amusedly as our ymbryne tapped at her phone with a confused expression. I would have found it funny, too, but she kept asking me every second how to do something. That's the reason I'm here, actually.

Bored, I rested my head in my hands and watched as Miss Peregrine's eyes widened. She probably found another feature. Who knows what it is this time.

"Jacob," she said and looked up at me.

"Yeah?" I asked back. She then turned her phone to face me and my heart dropped at the sight. No. On the screen she was on the appstore. She had found a specific app. Instagram. Emma laughed at my expression.

"What is this app?" Miss Peregrine asked, "it has one billion downloads. Is it good?" She continued.

"Uh, Instagram is a type of social media. Like FaceBook, remember?" Miss Peregrine slowly nodded then turned the phone back to herself.

"I'm going to get it," she muttered.

oOoOoOo

I was heading up the stairs to my room when my name was called. I stopped and turned around to see the caller. Miss Peregrine stood at the bottom of the stairs looking up at me. Oh, and she had her phone in her hand. Great. Another technology lesson with Miss P, it seems.

She quickly explained that she wanted me to explain something to her and that it wouldn't take long. That's what she said last time, too. I simply nodded and retreated back down the stairs to meet her at the bottom.

"What is it you need help with?" I asked Miss Peregrine. She gave me her phone and pointed at her recent post on Instagram. I tapped it and waited for the post to load. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. It was just a picture of her in falcon form. Horace had taken the picture yesterday.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked, confused.

"Someone commented on it," she said and moved so she could scroll down the screen and show me the comments section. And indeed someone had commented on her picture. A smile tugged at my lips.

"You do know who that is, right?" I iquired. She shook her head. I chuckled, "it's Millard."

"Millard has Instagram?" She replied.

"Yeah. Almost all of the older wards do," I informed her.

"Oh," she said, "well, what does that mean?" She continued, pointing at what Millard had commented on her post. His comment read 'Cairnholm's finest' with a bunch of emojis next to it.

"Oh, nothing.... Just one of Millard's jokes, you know? I think I hear Emma calling me. Gotta run," I handed Miss Peregrine's phone back to her and this time I was able to make it up the stairs wihout her calling me.

Thank the birds. I don't think I could handle another technology lesson.
