A/N: I've been suffering from a bit of writers block for a few days now and I have a terrible headache whilst writing this so I'm really sorry it's so bad.

I've also noticed this story is currently #1 on Miss Peregrine :)

BOOKVERSE

One year before the loop was made...

Claire and Olive stood in the kitchen, looking out the window at the snow. It fell softly, creating a beautiful, white blanket everywhere, even on the trees and Fiona's tree Adam.

The girls desperately wanted to go outside but Miss P had told them to wait until they'd had their breakfast, but they couldn't. This was the first time they'd seen snow and could remember it. They didn't remember much from when they were younger.

Olive turned to Claire, "should we go outside now?" She asked and looked back outside at the inticing snow.

Claire shook her head, "no, Miss P said to wait until we've had breakfast."

"We can have breakfast after we've gone outside," Olive pointed out. Claire looked thoughtful. It sounded reasonable, but she didn't want to get into trouble with Miss Peregrine. "Come on. We can build a snowman and make snow angels!" Olive said and moved away from the window to go over to the door.

The thought of snow angels and snowmen won her over and she relented, rushing to join Olive by the door.

With the biggest of grins, the two peculiar children rushed out the back door in the wellington boots and warm coats, straight into the deep snow. The snow was so deep, it covered their feet and stopped just above their ankles.

Claire got straight into it, she put her hood up to protect her backmouth from the cold, and jumped into the snow, turning over onto her back to make a snow angel.

When she was gone, she let Olive help her up so she could look at her work. There, in the snow was a snow angel the size of Claire. In Olive and Claire's eyes, it was the most amazing thing ever.

"Your turn!" Claire told Olive. The latter pouted.

"I can't lie down, I'll float straight back up," Olive pointed out. Claire frowned.

"Oh..." she said sadly.

"Wait!" Olive exclaimed.

"What?"

"You can sit on me. That way I can make a snow angel and I won't float back up," she said.

Claire grinned widely, "oh, let's do it then!"

With that, Claire helped Olive down into the snow, making sure she wouldn't float up, then sat on her torso. Olive stayed put.

With a giggle, Olive started making her own snow angel.

As soon as she was done, Claire carefully got off and Olive floated up into a standing position. She stepped away from her snow angel.

"It's brilliant!" She gushed, proud of what she had done.

"Let's put our names above our snow angels so everyone knows which is ours," Claire said. Olive agreed and they each went to stand above their snow angels and write their names in the snow.

When they were done, they stepped back and took another look at their creations.

Olive suggested they start on their snowman and Claire agreed. She would make the bottom part and Olive would make the torso.

A couple hours later and they were sitting in the living room, wrapped up by the fire with an obvious cold coming on. Claire shivered and pulled her blanket closer to herself.

Olive suddenly sniggered and Claire looked up, confused.

"What?" She asked.

"Did you see her face?" Olive replied with a wonky grin, a sign of how cold she was.

Claire smiled slightly, "yeah, she was so angry."

It was totally worth going out into the snow to make Mr Snowman, even if they did get told off for disobeying Miss Peregrine...
