Third-Person POV

You were new to town. The first day of school was awful. You didn't know anyone and no body tried to talk to you. You decided that you'd just drop out. You weren't very good in school anyways.

"Hey y/n!! Wait up!" Someone called from on top of the steps. You looked behind you and a kid you had math, English, and science with was walking towards you.

"I didn't get to introduce myself. I'm Ponyboy but you can call me Pony."

"Oh hi. I'm y/n. Nice to meet you." Finally someone's talking to you and he's kinda cute.

"Wanna come to dinner at my house tonight. I want you to meet someone."

Ponyboy's POV

I stared at the new girl all day. I finally heard what her name was in class. She was cute but I think she'd look good with Johnny. Oh yeah I'm gonna hook them up. Wing Man Mode activated. I know!!!! I'll invite her over for dinner!! I'm sure Darry won't mind when he finds out why. Johnny needs someone besides us. I just hope Soda's not cooking. I don't wanna scare her away on the first night.

Johnny's POV

Pony made me come over for dinner tonight. I planned on it anyway. When I walked in he was grinning ear to ear. Lordy what'd he do!!

"Hello Johnnycakes." He said in an over friendly voice putting his arm over my shoulders.

"What'd you do Pony?" I asked sternly.

"Me?! I would never.." He said innocently but I cut him off.

"Don't give me that Pony. Now what is goin on here?" I said.

"I already talked to Soda, Darry and the rest of the gang. The rest of the gang ain't comin and Darry's cookin fried chicken.." He said but I cut him off again.

"Pony." I said desperately.

"Let me finish." He said. I sighed. He grinned. "Since you weren't at school you didn't see the new girl so I took it upon myself to..." I cut him of again.

"Oh Lord Pony not again. Please don't activate Wing Man Mode. You know what happened last time." Thinking of it made me shake. I thought she was a guy when I first saw her.

"I don't know what I was thinkin then. My radar was off. But you'll like this one. She's cute. And besides I already activated Wing Man Mode." He smirked.

"Cancel it Pony." I said throwing my hands in the air. About that time there was a knock at the door.

"To late." He smirked and walked over to answer the door. What has he gotten me into this time.

"Hi y/n." Pony said shaking her hand. I couldn't see her face yet.

"Hi pony." She said stepping in. I could see her face and I liked it. She was beautiful. I was speechless.

"Y/n this is who I wanted you to meet, Johnny." Pony motioned to me.

"Hi Johnny." She said sticking her hand out for me to shake. I had a crazy crooked grin on.

"Hi." I slurred sounding like Stitch from the cartoon. She giggled. I realized she had her hand up so grabbed it and shook madly.

"Johnny wake up. You're gonna rip her arm off." Soda whispered in my ear. Oh crap!! I forgot I was shaking her hand!!

"Oh uh sorry." I said letting go of her hand.

"It's fine." She blushed. Was she blushing at me?!?! Go Johnny!! Or was it at Sodapop who was right beside me. Dang him now I'll never know.
