Light vs. Dark: Two Face Gaara

Sasuke and I stood on the branch as Gaara continued talking. I was slightly hiding behind Sasuke, his hand clenching mine tightly. "Don't interfere, Tsuki. I'll protect you."

I looked at him, a small blush appearing on my face. Sasuke wanting me to not fight was surprising. I wanted to help with what all I could do, till I was able to not move any longer. I was gonna protest but Sasuke have me a hard glare. I looked down, squeezing his hand back in approval.

"You are my prey! My prey!" Gaara swung his head back in forth as I heard Temari whimper in fright. A arm grew from out of his gourd as me and Sasuke stood in front of him on a tree. I could tell Sasuke was trembling in fright cause I was doing the same. Gaara slowly opened his eyes to reveal his normal sea foam and a demon yellow. "Now, let me feel it."

Gaara for up and suddenly jumped at us. I flinched back as Sasuke grabbed my arm, flying away from Gaaras' attack. Sasuke panted as we crouched down behind a tree. My eyes were wide as I shakily looked down at my coat. It had huge slash marks from that things arm, the only thing I had to remember my dad from was now ruined. Sasuke leaned forward, quickly picking me up and jumped away from Gaara once again.

I was in mere shock. I felt like I couldn't move. "Is he human or monster?" I heard Sasuke ask.

"Why do you hide Sasuke Uchiha? Tsuki Higa? Do I frighten you? Are you shocked by my true form?!" Sasuke held me close as we stood close together from behind a tree. When Sasuke picked me up, my coat fell off as I was now only in shorts and a tank top, already burning hot from the quick movement.

"Come out, come out, Sasuke Uchiha. Tsuki Higa!" Sasuke tched. "To live, I must kill, you are my prey!"

Sasuke glanced from behind the tree, watching Gaara. Gaara eyes roamed the forest. Sasuke slightly pushed me away, making a clone. His clone jumped out, heading for Gaara. "So there you are," I watched as Gaara arm shot out towards Sasuke clone.

I watched as it slashed at his arm, making it poof into a log. While that distracted Gaara, me and Sasuke moved in another direction. "Stay here," Sasuke muttered as he went flying towards Gaara. "Guess again!"

Sasuke pulled out a bunch of Kunais, throwing them at Gaara. They landed on his arm, blocking the attack. Sasuke flipped himself back up onto a branch, getting in a crouch. My eyes widen as he observed the Kunais. "Here you can have them back!" They lashed the branch, going into Sasuke.

Gaara frowned, guessing it right away. From the branch I was at, I saw Sasuke panting, giving me a slight nod that he's okay. "What's wrong Sasuke Uchiha, Tsuki Higa! Why do you run and hide? Why don't you attack- ugh." My eyes glazed over as I notice Gaara clenching his head, starting to scream. He looked up, "Why do you always run away?"

"I won't let you get away, you can't escape do you hear!? Sasuke Uchiha, Tsuki Higa!" His arm swung around, making me jump away behind another tree.

He attacked more trees, jumping around as he laughed. 'This is unreal, this guy is crazy.' I thought to myself as I placed a hand on the branch for support.

"What wrong you not afraid of me, are ya?" I wiped my forehead, I had to admit, Gaara actually was scaring me right now. "Is that it? You fear me don't you, Higa, Uchiha. You live in fear everyday of your life."

My mind went back to the time I watched my own mother body fall before my eyes. The last kind smile I'll ever see on her face. No more bed time stories, no more of her homemade cooking. No more shopping for presents. I lived in fear everyday since I watched her die, scared what it'll deal like to die. Scared to loose anyone dear to me. That's why I was so distant from the beginning, I just felt like crying right now.
