Chapter Eighteen

I'm so sorry guys! Has anyone else noticed the glitch? My wattpad is breaking down and it's getting hard for me to update 😞😞 I literaaly spent all morning typing one thousand words for one of my stories amd it all deleted

Johanna's Pov

We all meet up at the beach and wait for the others. Then they pull up in Marvel's blue convertible. They have loads of stuff and Marvel and Cato are up front with the girls in the back, belting out music so loud it hurts, though they're a quarter of a mile away. "THEY SEE ME ROLLIN', THEY HATIN'!" They scream. They pull up, laughing. Clove is wearing a blue and white striped tank and shorts. Like Glimmer, but hers is pink. Their hair are in messy buns from the wind and they have matching flip flops. Marvel and Cato are both wearing swim trunks with the same brown slippers and a white t-shirt. They all have large brown sunglasses.

"Hey, if we've known about that twinsie stuff we would so join!" Annie fake wails. "Yeah!" Finnick pouts, flipping fake hair and putting his hand on his hip. We laugh and at the same time Clove and Glimmer hop on Cato's and Marvel's back. Another twinsie thing. Not that I'm jealous. We're all besties here, but Clove and I are even closer.

Katniss's Pov

Peeta flips me into the water. "Peeta!" I scream. He laughs and I pull him in. Clove went surfing with Johanna, Finnick, Annie, Blight, and Cato. Marvel and Glimmer went hiking along the ocean rocks. Madge and Gale are kissing and Finch and Thresh are having a sand fight. Nobody's paying attention to us. Peeta senses the same and pulls me in for a kiss.

Blight's Pov

It was actually really fun. Finnick and Annie were showoffs, surfing really smooth. Everything was well until my girlfriend flipped in the water. "JOHANNA!" Clove and I scream in unison. Clove takes a deep breath and suddenly dives under. "CLOVE!" Cato screams. We would much rather have Finnick do this, since he's much stronger at this. Clove's pretty strong but hasn't been up for about thirty seconds with Johanna, worrying us. It gets nerve racking and we dip under to see for ourselves. The saltwater burns my eyes but I ignore it.

After five minutes of searching we head back. Cato flops on the sand and buried his head there. I'm shaken. Johanna can't be dead. She's tough,much to tough to die at surfing. But maybe she tried to reach for air and the wave she was supposed to be riding on dragged her under and filled her lungs. Maybe her foot got tangled in the stupid seaweed and got suffocated. All these terrible things make me run to a cave and start crying.

I stop after a while and go out to see Cato punching sand. The others are frantically trying to calm him down, and he does eventually. Finnick is blaming himself, Katniss is buried in Peeta's chest, tears flowing, Annie is trying to tell Finnick it's not his fault, Madge is walking around in circles mumbling' "Not real, not real, not real." Finch is tearful and Thresh is trying to comfort her. Marvel and Glimmer are looking off in space, tears in their eyes. Gale is doing the same, and I'm lying my head down on the sand, thinking of ways to calm myself. Cato has his knees and head clammed together. "What the hell just happened?" We look up to see Johanna and Clove, still wearing their swim shirt and shorts. They look confused. "Johanna!" I cry, lunging at her. She gently pushes me off. "You're alive!" I practically yell. Her eyes widen. "Whoa! What the heck happened while we were gone?"

Cato's Pov

I'm crying when I here, "What the hell just happened?" I spin around to see Johanna and Clove, beautiful alive Clove. She gently touches me. "Cato?" she asks. "You okay?" I'm in a moment of shock that she's alive. I grab her down and kiss her passionately, when she pulls away, laughing nervously. She presses her hand to my forehead. "You sure you okay?" I nod and tell her our story of how Blight went crazy as well as I did, and she laughs. All the girls are sitting with their guys but I pull my Clover into my lap. She's very small and petite and I play with loose strands of hair. She and Johanna told me their side, of how Clove got Johanna out fine, but they came up to see Blight and me diving under. Johanna was done so the girls grabbed their boards and left, thinking we might want a snack. "-here," Clove finishes. She hands me a bag of candy and I pop some in my mouth and into hers. I feed her some until we leave, to Finnick's.

Katniss's Pov

At Finnick's we all watch horror movies. Johanna isn't one bit scared, but Blight cuddles her even though she doesn't like it. I cuddle up into Peeta's strong arms as he strokes my hair. He brought us all cheese buns, my favorite. I shriek as the axe murderer appears in front of Bethy. All the girls are hiding except Johanna, whose yelling, "Kill her, axe murderer! Kill her now!" A/N see what I did?😏 After the movie finishes we all head up to sleep. I curl up in Peeta's arms, wearing my red pjs. Madge is wearing yellow fluffy pants and a tank. Glimmer has a pink nightgown. Annie has a teal dress. Clove has cute monkey onesies. Finch and Johanna are wearing a tank and fluffy pants. Peeta's arms comfort me, after my nightmares.

When I wake up I hear screaming. Peeta leads me to the screaming, where the rest are sleeping in the living room. They're all covered in ice cold water with Cato and Clove laughing above them. I grab my phone and start taking pictures, laughing hard. On top of that they have Finnick's sugar cubes crushed on them. I fall laughing on Clove as they start cursing. I'll have to watch out for Cato and Clove.

We all head to the mall and I laugh with my friends. After this is Senior year. Then what do you know? Panem College, here we come!
