(A/N: Please appreciate the tasty Tae— I MEAN Pizza - both tbh - and SPriTe. Enjoy the chapter 😅)

Throwing her shoes at a corner in the dim room, Ha-Eun entered her apartment, Taehyung right at her heels with the box of pizza he had bought.

He placed it on the table once he entered -of course, after he took his shoes off- and he dived into his food as Ha-Eun giggled at his childish behavior. Typical Taehyung.

"So, you sure it was all good today?" He asked in between chewing. Ha-Eun nodded, chucking in a mouthful of pizza to avoid more questions. He noticed this and accusingly squinted his eyes at her. But she only laughed it away.

"But seriously, I don't even know how they let a handsome guy like him become a therapist. Like, how are the other patients not distracted by his looks?"

Taehyung shrugged as he asked, "is he that good-looking?" A cheeky smile on his face.

She nodded aggressively now as it was Taehyung'a turn to laugh at her actions.

They continued eating in silence as Ha-Eun remembered that ethereal face she'd be seeing frequently now. And for some reason, it gave her butterflies in her yet unfilled stomach.

Third floor. Walk ahead. Turn right. Her body took those directions without any need of instructions from her brain, now that she had already come here a few times already. She fiddled with her fingers as she stood in front of the now familiar door, uncertain of entering the office of Dr. Kim.

She had learnt — after a few weeks of many questions and analysis — that she, for sure, was suffering from depression.
"Don't think it won't be healed," she remembered his soft voice. "You will be healed. I will help you. You need to accept it first. And we'll work on it together. You're never alone."

A ghost of a smile swept against her pale lips as she remembered that. It should've been a devastating moment. But heck, she couldn't embrace the moment thoroughly in front of those charms.

She should be thinking of herself more. With that last thought, she breathed in and knocked on the door, receiving the same heavenly 'please, come in' she knew.

She walked in but didn't find Dr. Kim. She realized, though, that he was in a small room in the back of the office when she heard him searching though some medicines.

He came back into the office holding a pack of pills while looking at it. But Ha-Eun's small smile faltered once she saw him, replaced by a look of utter terror.

"TAKE THAT OFF!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as he looked up at her in shock.

She stood up from the couch and backed away to the door, staring at the white deathly robe he was wearing.

"Puh-please...take that doctor robe off," her voice was shaking as she slowly felt nauseated.

His eyes suddenly widened as he took it off hurriedly. "It's okay. I took it off. I took it off." Now, she could see his dark red shirt with those two unbuttoned buttons revealing his neck. She tore her eyes off him as she realized how perverted she seemed and how embarrassing the situation was.

"Do you.. fear hospital? Or only doctors?" He asked hesitantly.

Her breathing finally becoming stable again, she answered, "I-I think I just hate hospitals."

He understandingly nodded as he walked towards his desk and wrote down some notes.

He then stood back up and looked at her. "Please, sit back down." He pushes back his hair as he sighed.

Her heart was thumping hard in her chest. But she did as told and sat back. He sat behind his desk, too.

"Now, how do you feel when you see, let's say, a hospital bed. Or a medical tool?"

"It's just... it's.. stupid."

He shook his head, "No, it's not. Every detail matters. You matter. Don't think otherwise. That's why I'm here."

She couldn't help the blush that tinted her pale cheeks as she tried to focus. "Well, at first, I feel s-scared. And I sometimes feel nauseated. And if I stay close enough, I don't know, it just feels harder to breathe, you know."

He was carefully writing down every detail, his eyebrows rising ever so slightly at the mention of any strange thing she said.

He sighed as he looked at his notes and took a while to think. Finally, his voice slightly echoed in the room. "I'm not sure, but you might have a phobia called nosocomephobia; it causes this strange fear of hospitals and even doctors. But it's still not certain. We'll define if it's true after a few more sessions."

She couldn't help but gasp; she had always thought it was only her imagination. She never expected she might have had a real hospital phobia.

After a few more questions, they were finally done with today's session and she was about to walk out of the office when Dr. Kim stopped her. "Oh, wait! I forgot to give you your medicine."
He handed her a pack of pills and she read fluoxetine.

"It's an antidepressant," he answered her unasked question. She gave him a look, "are you sure you can prescribe a medicine for me? Aren't you a psychologist only? No offense."

He laughed loudly, slightly making her jolt in shock. "I'm a psychiatrist, too," he explained.

"Oh," she nodded and slowly took her leave, already missing his smeraldo* smell.

A/N: So I hope you like this story until now. I know it's kinda boring but it's really complicated, trust me. I'll be leaving many hints here and there to lead you to the main plot at the end, so pay attention carefully ;)

As for the star at the last word, yeah that's a BTS reference actually 😅 lemme explain what it smells like, too.

Smeraldo flowers give off a very subtle yet strong fragrance, it is also easy to detect since the smell of it is very distinct from any other flower.
To put it the best way we could, it's smell is the sort of smell you'd expect on a calm, sweet, spring day. Now, mix that with a mellow sun and light breeze.

Hope that made some sense. Thank you for reading, Havics💜
