(A/N: I advise you to listen to this song while reading. The lyrics strangely fit and the music sksk. I love that song. Enjoy 💕)

"No! Jungkook, please give it back!" The girl innocently pleaded. He looked at her one more time, giving her a toothy smile while flipping her decorated card between his fingers.

"What if I don't want to, freckles??"

"Please, I made it for my mom. She would be sad, I promised her to make one for her."

He raised an eyebrow as he read what was written clearly and loudly so his other friends could hear, "Please, 엄마, get well soon. I love you. I need you in my liif—" he burst out into laughter as his other friends did. Ha-Eun stared at him in confusion; what was so funny about this?

He looked down at her as he smiled. "Stupid freckle, freaks never heal. You should've known that."

He continued with his annoying laughing as the others did, too.

Ha-Eun felt anger rising in her abdomen. She held onto her angered tears as she got up and tried to snatch her sprinkled card away from the devil's hands.

He raised his arm up as she tried to stand on her toes, desperately trying to reach it. She met his eyes as she did so, something strangely changing in his orbs. He suddenly stepped back as his smile faltered, replaced with a pinkish tint over his cheeks.

"Give me my card back. The only freak here is you," She said in anger.

He squinted his eyes at her as he raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? You think you're stronger with your little words, huh? Well, let's see how you'll defend yourself with words once I burn this."

"NOOOOO!!!"

That made him smile in pride as two of his friends held the girl firmly, letting her helplessly watch her colorful green Mother's Day card catching fire.

He thought it was a funny joke. It made him feel stronger, as though he had the upper arm. And he enjoyed that.

She cried out once they left her staring at the ashes. Then she lunged at Jungkook with all her force and wounded his face.

His friends held the girl once again as he got angered and hit the girl hard.

"Where's your protective boyfriend now?? Oh, right, he's sick. Hahahahaha," one of the boys laughed. But Jungkook gave him a glare that shut him up. He hated that word he used.

A crimson drop of blood trickled down her nose as her vision went blurry. Before the darkness invaded her senses, she saw the silhouette of Jungkook getting closer as he whispered, "who's the freak now, freckles?"

When she came back home late, she felt the suffocating nothingness. She knew no one was there.

Because of that boy, she was too late.
Her mother was already taken away.

Gasping for air, Ha-Eun woke up in utter shock. She could barely breathe as her tears drifted down. That memory came back haunting her again. Her fingers trembled as she couldn't even see clearly. Her chest hurt so bad while she called the first contact she found.
