The nurse came back with scales. She got me to stand on it and it said my weight. The nurses calculated it and I was underweight for my height. Yes! I made it! I'm anorexic!
Mum gasped. "Oh my! You haven't been eating, have you?"
"Well.....the odd occasion. Then if I do I puke it all back up," I explain feeling guilty. Mum looks sick to her stomach and worried to death for me. "I need to have a talk with Josh."
"Mum don't. He'll hit you!"
"He won't touch me. And if he does, I'll put him in his place," mum replies. I smile at her. That's my mum!
I got a few days off school after that to recover but I texted Josh and got him to come over to my house. He walked in and hanged his head low. He looked at me. "I'm sorry, Anna." I could tell that he didn't mean that apology. But I smiled anyway and said I accepted it. Just then my mum came into the living room and put Josh in his place.
"So will I ever get to see you again?" Josh turns to me.
"I doubt it! Unless it's school."
"Oh and by the way, the police are here to take you away," mum says to Josh. The police enter from the kitchen and handcuff Josh. He looks at me and I laugh. The police take Josh away in the police car. Mum gives me a hug and heaps of kisses. "I'm so proud of you!"
