I sat back into my plush, leather seat. My new black Ferrari had been god's gift to the world. You could almost say it was my best friend. I spent almost everyday with it. It had been there in all my best...and worst moments.
I had nearly dozed off when they finally arrived. They were late. Something must be wrong.
Sebastian King was never late.
Callum stepped out of the car first., quickly glancing around to make sure it was safe.
He didn't see me of course. No one ever does. I hide in the shadows. Watching.
Waiting.
Callum was recruited by Sebastian when he was eighteen, and had been by his side ever since.
Once Callum gave the all clear, Mason stepped out of the car. Ah, the famous tracker. He had run away from home when he was only sixteen, and had been picked up by Sebastian once he noticed his potential. I guess Mason was the second best choice Sebastian would ever get. Because I knew things. About Mason that no one else does. Things that still come back to haunt him every night.
The next person to get out the car was a face I had never seen with Sebastian before. Of course I had seen her before though. Everyone knew who Evelyn Summers was.
Sebastian has done quite well for himself. Sebastian's gang was practically finished when they lost their previous leader. Their better leader. Someone who was superior to Callum, Mason, and even little Evelyn. But they were also someone who never asked for the gang life. And who ran from it.
But you can't run form your demons
Just as I know Mason's secrets, I also know Sebastian's. He had a past that not only haunted him, but it haunted me as well. It followed me wherever I went. No matter how far you run,
Your past will always catch up with you. The only thing you can do is face it.
Watch out Sebastian.
