After Anthony's text, there were 4 days of radio silence. Occasionaly, he'd smirk at me but that was it.
It was finally Friday and we were leaving for the beach house tonight. I was beyond excited which overruled my thoughts of Anthony's comment.
It was 4th period and I was excited to get to lunch to talk about my trip with Noah, that I didn't even think about Anthony.
The bell rang and I noticed that he hadn't even come into class.
Mr. Miller started teaching some lecture when Anthony walked in with his arm around the waist of a girl.
"Mr. Walters and Ms. Perkins, Tardy." He said, handing them each a pink slip.
"Sorry, teach." He smirked at the teacher. His eyes then met mine and he winked, chewing gum in the mouth.
He took the girl out of his grasp and led her by her waist in front of him towards their seat.
Honestly, it hurt. I know its stupid, but it did. He's a douche and the worst person ever, but I really was in love with him. Last week, I was that girl that he held by the waist. I know he just did it to piss me off, but goddamn it broke my heart.
I tried to stop thinking about it by imagining myself on a beach with Noah. I was so ecstatic, I couldn't stand it. This would be my first trip without my parents together so it was fun to pretend this was my new family. A whole, loving family.
The bell rang and I gathered my things and headed out of the classroom.
Not before long, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I whipped mt head around, hoping it was Noah, but I was wrong.
Anthony stood before me, with a smirk on his face.
"Hows it hanging?" He said, devilishly.
"Fuck off, Anthony." I said, turning my back to walk away. But before I could, he grabbed ahold of my arm.
"Not yet, Blake. I've got some shit to say." He said, with a more serious tone.
"Let go of me." I said, trying to tear my arm away.
"Did I stutter? I said I've got something to say to you." He spit. "You may have everyone else fooled but not me. I know you better than anyone, Blake." He said, tightening his grip.
"You're hurting me." I tried saying in a calm voice.
"After all, I was your first time. I'm the only one thats seen this little body of yours-"
Anthony was pushed off of me. "What the hells your problem, man?"
I looked to my left and Mark had an angry scowl on his face.
"I was just talking to my girl." Anthony laughed.
"She's not your fucking girl, dude." Mark said. "Just leave her alone."
"Fine, whatever." He said, holding his hands up. "I got more to say to you." He said, poking my shoulder as he passed me.
"Yeah, good luck trying, asshole!" Mark called out after him.
Mark looked at me and crossed his arms. "You okay?"
"No." I said, rubbing the place where Anthony's hand gripped me.
Mark sighed and put his arm around my shoulder. "I'm sorry, B." He said, walking us towards the cafeteria.
"It's fine. Thank you for that." I said, staring at the ground as we walked.
