I tied the string onto my bikini, actually liking the way it looked for once. I twisted and turned in the mirror. Damn, I did look good, I smiled to myself.
I took my hair out of my scrunchie and let it fall to my shoulders. I put on some flip slops and put my coverup over my body.
There was a knock on my door. "Come in!" I called out.
Noah opened the door, in all his shirtless glory. His abs were toned and his tan skin was hard to not stare at.
Blake, what are you doing? Thats your best friend.
I snapped myself out of it and looked at Noah's face. He had a toothy grin.
"You ready to go?" He asked, with a big smile.
"Yup, lets go!" I said, excitedly.
Noah's parents and his sister went grocery shopping for while we were here. Noah and I decided to hang back and go to the beach, which I was more than happy to do.
It was almost dusk and the sun looked like it was melting into the ocean. But I told Noah I needed to go to the beach today, no matter how late it was.
We found a near empty spot and placed our towels there, along with our bag. Noah and I kicked off our flip flops and I pulled the coverup off of me.
Noah started walking towards the water. His built back was very clearly visible and every crevice was deep. Why haven't I noticed how good he looks before?
I followed behind him and let the water hit my feet. It was a little cold but not bad.
Noah had already started running into the waves and letting his feet get caught so he'd fall into the water. I laughed at him as he fell purposefully.
I followed along, not wanting to fall just yet.
I made my way to where Noah was standing about chest level.
Noah jokingly splashed water in my direction.
I gasped and did it back to him. He laughed and then looked down. His expression got suddenly very serious."Wha-" I started.
"The hell's that?" He said, pointing to my arm.
"Nothing." I lied, hiding the bruise.
"B, who did that?" He asked, grabbing my arm from me.
"Who do you think, Noah?" I whispered.
His face heated up, I could tell. He looked enraged. He analyzed my arm, noticing every indentions from his fingers. He let go of my arm and crossed his arms across his chest.
"When?" He asked.
"During school." I said, shyly.
"B, why didn't you tell me?" He asked, clearly upset.
"I didn't want you to be upset. Mark helped me out when it happened and he yelled at Anthony so its all good now." I said, with a fake smile, trying to calm him down. I put my hands on his biceps and looked up at him. I tried to convey that I was okay and that everything was fine, but he wasn't buying it.
"I just wish you told me, B." He said, looking down. "I want to kill that asshole." He said, gruffly.
"Its okay, Noah. Look, I'm fine." I said, trying to find his eyes.
I hated making him upset. Thats why I didn't want to tell him.
"Okay." He said, looking at me and nodding.
"Okay." I said, smiling and letting go of his biceps. I splashed a little water on him, hoping to make him happy. He laughed quietly and splashed a little back.
