Noah's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night to hear Blake screaming.

At first I thought it was a dream but then I remembered when she was a kid and she'd get these awful night terrors. She'd scream and scream until someone woke her up. She'd never speak of them again but I know she remembers every single one.

I hate seeing her in pain like that. She just wakes up crying hysterically and theres nothing I can do to help her. It kills me.

This morning I woke up before her. She was still curled into my chest. I didn't want to move because I liked having her here against me. Her head slowly rising and falling as I breathed.

I really did love this girl more than anything. I'd honeslty do anything for her, including getting punched in the face.

I slowly slid out of Blake's grasp and made sure her head rested on a pillow. I felt creepy for watching her sleep because all we are is friends and thats it.

I walked over to the mirror and scratched my scruff that was growing in. Then I caught the familiar scent of bacon coming from downstairs.

I rushed downstairs and saw my dad fruing bacon on the stove.

"Mornin', Pops." I said, grabbing a strip of bacon off the plate.

"Morning, Noah. How'd you sleep?" He asked, with a jolly smile.

"Great. And you?" I asked, making my way to the couch where Taylor was sitting.

"Just great. Breakfast will be ready in 15 minutes."

"Mornin, Tay." I said, sitting next to her.

"Alright, bozo, be straight up with me. Are you and Blake fucking?" She asked, straightforwardly.

I rubbed my eyes. "Jesus, T, its way to fucking early for that."

"Answer the damn question." She demanded, quietly so our dad wouldn't hear.

"No, we are not." I said.

"Why the help not?" She asked, leaning back.

I shot her a look. "Why would we be?"

"I see the way you look at her, Noah. I'm not stupid." She rolled her eyes. "You're into her. And I know you guys have been sleeping in each others rooms." She crossed her arms.

"She had a nightmare last night, that's why I slept with her."

"Sounds like something a boyfriend would do." She winked.

"We're not dating, T." I rolled my eyes.

"Then, you're in the friendzone, bub." She latted my shoulder with a condescending look.

"What do you mean?" I asked, annoyed.

"No friend cuddles all night with another friend." She said.

"Okay, so we're unconventional." I said sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes and sat back on the couch.
"I'm just saying, dude, shoot your shot." She winked. "She's into you too, I can tell."

"Really?" I cleared my throat. "I mean, like, why do you say that?" I said, not trying to sound so excited.

"She looks at you, the way you look at her." She winked and stood up from the couch. "Now, go wake your princess up. Breakfast is almost ready."

I walked upstairs to see Blake on her phone. She laid in bed, playing on her phone.

Her eyes still looked tired and her hair was a frizzy mess, but she was still more than beautiful.

"Mornin'" I said, making myself known.

She looked at me and stretched. "Hey."

"How you feeling?" I asked, sitting on the bed next to her.

She rubbed her forhead and closed her eyes like she was picturing it all over again. I so badly wished I could read her mind.

"I'm good now. Thanks," She paused, with a small smile. "For coming in here last night."

I raked my hair back. "Yeah, of course." I said. "Do you wanna talk about it?" I whispered.

"Absolutely the hell not." She said, peeling the covers away and slipping out of bed.

I laughed lightly. "Alright, I expected that."

I watched Blake watch over to her suitcase and bend over to grab clothes.

I hated looking at her like this but seeing her waltz around in lacy underwear and a tshirt killed me. I drooled at the sight of her. Every inch of her body was perfect.

She had an hourglass figure and she didn't even know it. She had no idea why every girl either hated her because they were jealous or wanted to be her best friend. She also had tunnel vision to that fact that every guy talked about getting with her. I hated it because most of the time, it was one of the guys on the team saying it.

"How do you just hang out with Blake and not fuck her?" A junior asked me in the locker room. I played it off with a laugh and a small nudge when really, I wanted to knock his teeth out.

Blake stood up and held onto the clothes she had grabbed. She walked in the bathroom, slightly closing the door.

"What're we doin' today?" She called out from the bathroom.

"Whatever you wanna do." I said, twidling my thumb.

"I wanna go," She paused, dramatically opening the bathroom door. "Tanning at the beach."

She was already wearing a strappy bikini that complimented her body perfectly. She looked sexy as hell and I so badly wanted to tell her that.

"Oh, so you were planning on tanning no matter what?" I laughed, leaning back on my hands.

"Yea, I was kinda banking on today being a beach day." She laughed, pushing her long, curly hair behind her ear.

"Beach it is, then." I said, standing up.

I walked over to my room and closed the door, getting my swimtrunks on.

I caught a glimpse of my lip in the mirror. It was throbbing and hurt like hell. I reached up to touch it, only to quickly retract it when I felt a stinging sensation. Damn, I need to have Blake fix this again.

I pulled my swimtrunks and threw a tank top over my head.

I walked out of my room to see Blake wearing a cover up dress and flip flops. She had pushed her untamed hair into a ponytail. She wore no makeup and still she was the prettiest girl in the world.

"What?" She laughed, messing with her ponytail.

"You look good." I smiled, hoping it wasn't too weird.

She looked down and blushed. God I loved when she did that.

"Thank you." She said. "You're looking pretty good yourself." She said nudging past me to get downstairs.

When am I going to have the balls to shoot my shot because I'm sick of keeping all this to myself.
