I woke up without the familiar warmth of Noah's body against mine. I rolled over in bed to see he wasn't here entirely.
I rubbed my eyes and sat up, looking around the room. The room was quiet but I heard faint music coming from downstairs accompanied with the scent of bacon.
Ahh, to have a family that actually cooks breakfast.
I smiled widely and jumped out of bed. I went back into my room, put pants and a hoodie on, and walking downstairs.
"Hey, sleepy head." Noah's dad said, standing in front of the stove.
"Goodmorning." I smiled back.
"Noah said you guys went for a long walk last night. Hows the beach?" He asked.
"Oh, super nice." I said. "It looked so pretty at night." I lied.
"Thats great, Noah's watching tv in there." He said, pointing to the living room. "Breakfast will be done soon, hun."
"Thank you." I said back, walking towards the living room.
Noah and Taylor were both sprawled out across the couch, watching a re-run of the office. I plopped down next to Noah.
"What time did you get up?" I asked.
"Like an hour ago." He said.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked.
"You just looked so peaceful. It'd be like waking a baby up." He looked at me. "It just sounded like a bad idea." He laughed.
He leaned in closer so no one would hear. "Besides, I figured I'd try and let you sleep some of that hangover off." He giggled, quietly.
"Well, it didn't work." I said, rubbing my temples.
He giggled and leaned back against the couch.
"Breakfast is ready, guys!" Greg calles out from the kitchen.
Taylor jumped up from the couch and raced over to the table. "Thank God, I'm starving."
Noah stood up and walked over as well, with me following him.
After we ate, Noah's parents and Taylor decided they were going to visit a winery nearby while Noah and I were gonna go to the pier to go shopping and visit the fair.
I was in my room, picking out an outfit, when there was a knock on my door.
"Its open." I said.
I expected it to be Noah, but Taylor walked in wearing a sundress.
"You look cute." I complimented her.
"Thanks!" She said, while closing the door.
I wondered why she closed the door, but I didn't ask.
"So..." She said, walking towards me.
"So, what?" I asked, with a laugh.
"Whats going on between you and Noah?" She asked, excitedly.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"You guys keep giving each other glances and apparently you slept in his room last night?"
"We always sleep together, Tay." I laughed.
"Yeah, during sleepovers. You had your own bed across the hall. So tell me..." She had a devilish look in her eye. "Are you guys having sex?"
"Jesus, Tay, No." I laughed, rubbing my eyes.
"C'mon, B, don't play dumb." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Something's going on, I can tell."
