This was the biggest house party I had ever seen. Also, since this kid lived in the biggest mansion on the block, everyone there was dressed in club clothes.
Usually at parties that teenagers have from our high school, people don't dress up too much. But this was definitely something else.
It looked like a house party from the movies. Teenagers were dressed like Noah and were being held upside down chugging kegs while girls mingled by the pool out back. Even occasionally, a girl would be holding some dudes hand as she led him upstairs.
Being here was truly an experience. I did feel out of place, though, since Noah and I knew no one at this party besides the random guy at the beach.
Noah pushed the small of my back to keep moving through the house. We walked towards the bar where there was a mound of alcohol. Everything from cheap beer to very old and expensive liquor.
Noah moved to the side of me and grabbed a bottle of beer while I grabbed a shot glass and poured vodka.
"Noah, theres some Jack right there." I said, pointing to the bottle.
"Nah, I'll just stick with this tonight." He said, sipping it slowly.
"Why? Jack Daniel's is your favorite." I laughed as I took my shot.
"Yea, but I gotta stay sharp to keep tabs on you." He winked with a laugh.
"You do not need to keep tabs on me. C'mon have some fun." I nudged him.
"B, we don't know anyone here. I don't trust these people." He said, eyeing the guys.
"I can take care of myself." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, okay." He mocked me. "I'm just looking out for you."
"Well, I appreciate that but I want you to have fun." I whined.
"I can have fun without being trashed, B." He laughed.
I rolled my eyes and walked over towards the other side of the bar to see the whole collection.
Noah stood in the corner nursing his beer and pulled out his phone. I rolled my eyes.
Usually, in these situations, Noah's the life of the party. He's the type of guy that'll shotgun beers and smash them on his head. He's always the fun one. I had no idea what was up his ass, but he was not feeling it tonight.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I whipped my head around to see the smiling boy from the beach.
"Hey, Blake, glad you could make it." He said, eyeing me.
"Yeah, of course. Your house is crazy." I commented, looking around in wonder once again.
"Yeah," He said, scartching the back of his house. "It's something, isn't it?"
"Definitely is something." I laughed, nervously.
"Well, here, let me make you a drink." He said scooting past me towards the bar and cups.
"No, its okay, man. I already made her one." Noah's gruff voice said, handing me a drink.
I didn't even notice him do that.
He gave Tristin an intimidating glare and it honestly gave me chills.
"Oh, yeah. Cool." Tristin said, awkwardly. He turned back to face me. "Well, I'll catch up with you later." He said, giving me a small smile and waking away.
I walked back over towards Noah. "What the fuck are you doing?" I asked, poking his chest.
"B, its just common sense to not let stranger make you drinks." He said, crossing his arms over his chest.
