Haneul tapped her fingers on her dressing table, waiting for her line to get connected to the person she was trying to reach.

The wait took long enough for the person to finally answer. "Who calls this early?" The voice sounded hoarse, it only meant the person just woke up. Haneul glanced at the clock on her wall, it read 9am. Ridiculous, she thought it's not early at all.

"Lula, let's hang out."

She demanded. Lula groaned for a while. "I thought the press are out for you." She said, finding an excuse as she was still lazy to wake up. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't sneak out. I always do." Haneul replied. She was keen to go out, it was summer anyways.

"Cool, see you at the park!" Lula cheered and Haneul ended the phone call with a smile. That was their usual meet up place whenever Lula was grounded and they tried to sneak out. Usually, Donghyuck would join them but this time, Haneul was pissed off with what he did to her and Jeno, so he was left uninvited.

Haneul went to get ready in an instant. Truth is, she wasn't just bored. She had been wanting to try on the summer blouses she bought for summer. This was the time to show off her summer fashion, she was excited.

She knew she couldn't walk out of the front door as now was the time where they had a family breakfast. In a whoosh, she threw herself on the bed and pulled the blankets above her head as she heard a knock on the door.

"Ms. Lee—"

The maid called but Haneul pretended to be asleep, after a while, the maid left and it was now her cue to climb down from her balcony. Her family wouldn't suspect as thing as they must've expected that she was asleep, as told by the maid. Besides, she had never been caught before.

As Haneul climbed down the tree nearby her balcony, she kept a alert eyes to her surroundings, in case any of the house staffs were nearby. Eventually, she managed to jump off the walls that surround her resident. It wasn't easy, but the girl certainly had her way.

Haneul intended on going the usual way to the park, but then she found reporters all over the place as a car crash had just taken place. She couldn't risk attracting even one reporter's attention, so she decided to use another way.

"You're late."

Lula shook her head. "Psh, I gave you time to get ready." Haneul half rolled her eyes. "We cannot use the usual route, there was a car crash." She added. "The tunnel it is." Lula said and at the thought of using the dark tunnel route scared both of them.

Not simply because it was dark, but they were once surprised by a toad Lula stepped on. The havoc they went through because Donghyuck said it was a snake, it was simply chaos in the dark. However, the two girls had to be brave. They needed to get through it in order to enjoy their summer.

As the two walked side by side, they finally came to the entrance of darkness. It was long and hollow, they shuddered at the thought of stepping on yet some other creatures. Haneul took hold of her friend's hand as they two marched bravely into the tunnel.

However, as it was starting to get super dark, Lula decided to take out her phone to shine the way. As she did so, the first thing the light shone on was a pair of eyes. It was a man, looking dishevelled, his hair uncombed, his eyes red, and his breath reeked alcohol. A drunkhead, they were horrified.

The man tried to grab Lula's outstretched hand but before the girls could react to anything, someone else grabbed Lula's wrist and the next thing they knew they were separated.

Haneul found herself running nonstop. She looked back trying to find Lula but she couldn't see in the dark. She thought of resisting the person who was holding her, but she was more afraid of the man they had just encountered.

She couldn't recognise who was holding her even after they had reached the end of the tunnel, but it seemed like a boy her age. Instead, she was still worried of her friend. The chase came to a stop when their feet halted at an alley. Haneul wanted to call out for the boy who was back facing her, but she was hushed instead.

"Duck!" Someone else hissed and she found herself following his orders. All she could hear was a few footsteps which walked passed the alley they were hiding at. "I'll check, stay low." The boy in front of her said as he released her hand and went to take a peek at the streets, when he came back, Haneul realised it was Jeno.

"See what happens when you don't invite me?"

Someone spoke from behind, Haneul turned around to find her cousin which she rolled her eyes at. "What were you girls doing there?" One of them asked, Haneul was certain his name was Yangyang. "What were you doing there?" Lula asked.

"I asked you first." Yangyang scoffed, he was a whole savage despite having such a nice face. "Well, I asked you secon—"

"Guys, stop fighting." Jaemin stopped them. Weird, Haneul thought. Lula has a crush on Renjun, but why was she acting so differently in front of him. Shouldn't she act all nice in front of him? Renjun was watching them anyway.

"Lucky for you, that was our shortcut." Jeno voiced out, Lula wished to add something to what he said but somehow she didn't.

Haneul turned to her side and found Jeno staring at her. For a while, she felt uneasy but she couldn't act like a loser in front of her cousin. "Are you okay?" Jeno managed to ask, his voice soft and deep. Haneul nodded her head. She wanted to thank him when Donghyuck's face appeared in between them instead.

"So, where are you going?" He asked, being all smileys as he knew that she was angry at him. "Why should I tell you?" Haneul crossed her arms and glared at him. "If you don't," he stepped closer. "I'll tell your mother." He smirked as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

They both knew that Haneul was somehow afraid of her mother, she was a serious woman and one with etiquettes. She groomed Haneul and her sister to become a poised and prideful ladies.

Somehow, he made her laugh. The girl laughed loud enough as it was quite amusing, it was a normal sound to both her cousin and Lula, but for the rest of the boys, this is their first time hearing so from her. They had always been afraid of her at times.

The girl realised that they were staring at her, and so she instantly stopped laughing and cleared her throat. She forgot about her comeback for her cousin as she was quite embarrassed now. Donghyuck noticed the shaky eyes she was giving him and he couldn't help but to break into a smile.

"Well?" He took her hand. "Your answer?" He asked. Haneul took her hand away from him. "Somewhere far from you." She said. "And don't touch me, you have to beg for forgiveness." Haneul said before walking over to Lula and pulled her away.

She forgot to thank them as she was flustered by what happened back there. The two didn't look back and continued up the streets towards the popular mall in the town.

The rest of the boys were in dazed. They found Haneul awfully attractive now that they could finally hear her laugh and see her smile. "Damn, is that really your cousin?" Yangyang asked out of the blue.

Donghyuck nodded slowly, weirded out by their question. "She's hot, and you're not." Renjun added which caused him to scoff. He stared at his friends for a while and realised how pathetic they were as Haneul could barely know their names. Dream off boys, he thought and chuckled to himself.
