Haneul placed the file she had with her when they walked out her sister's office. The two found themselves staring at the name written on it;
1428 —Joseon Dynasty
"Aren't you going to open it?" Jeno asked. Haneul was resting her chin on the table, on top of her fist, her eyelids fluttered, looking at Jeno directly in his eyes. "Oh? Yeah." She chuckled to herself at how silly it was to forget that she was supposed to explain to him.
She exhaled a breath, it was as if they were about to open an ancient secret box. They were being childishly dramatic but none of them complained. The first page were what they could say location of the kingdom, and the family tree.
As they went on to the next pages, there, written the King's name; Jung Yoon Oh and his brother Jung Jeno. At the sight of the name, Haneul sneaked a glance at Jeno who was looking serious into what they were about to find out.
Nonetheless, Haneul proceeded into the next page and started reading whatever her sister had discovered before. She hadn't realise that her partner left his seat and went to sit next to her. Haneul looked up front and saw no one until she realised Jeno was reading the file next to her.
As the two started reading, they found it hard to be in sync. Haneul was a slow reader, she was the type to analyse every action every word but Jeno was the type to not care. He was one to finish the storyline and discuss the plots later.
"This won't do, why don't one of us read it first?" Haneul suggested as she looked at Jeno for an agreement. The boy ended up staring at her for a while before breaking into a smile.
"How about you read and tell me the story?" He suggested, which caused the girl to scrunch her nose in disagreement. "You can't have the easy way out—" she was cut off instead.
"I'll get nothing much out of reading, better if you tell me the details." He said but Haneul still wasn't buying the idea as she felt unfair. This was a group work anyway.
She crossed her arms and thought of a way to keep him busy as well. No one was getting a rest, this had to be fair. "To make it up to you, ice cream's on me for the whole summer." He said and Haneul scoffed. She couldn't believe he was bribing her.
Jeno was making the cutest expression he could to persuade her but certainly it wasn't working on her as she wasn't easygoing. "That's not enough." She said and this time it caused Jeno to grin. "I have like thousands of words to read, pages to finis—"
"Alright then, what would you like?" He asked. Though Haneul expected the question, but she hadn't truly thought of what she wanted that would make it up to her reading the thick journal. "Beats me, you're an outgoing person. You should be the creative one."
"I don't know? I can't take you to a funfair or sponsor your holiday. Obviously you've been to all of them..." his words suddenly trailed off when he noticed her distant expression.
Jeno paused for a while but he decided to ask to confirm his curiosity. "Don't tell me you've never been to a funfair?" He asked. Obviously, the holidays were out of question as Haneul was indeed the one of the wealthiest in their school.
Haneul made a face, "It's not a bad thing..." she tried to defend herself. "It's not a ba— it is!" Jeno exclaimed. This time, it was his turn to receive stares from the people in the library. For once, he knew how Haneul felt.
"Funfairs are the most simple and a must to experience." He stated. "Lucky for you, I have a strict mother." Haneul tried to hide the sadness. It was true, getting a permission from her was something impossible. She often sneak out but she couldn't just go to any places. Her mother had eyes and they were everywhere.
"Read the book for us, your price is a lifetime experience." Jeno placed an arm on the table as he looked at her. They were sitting very close again, but this time no one moved away.
"Good luck sneaking me out." Haneul laughed, she was being sarcastic as even Donghyuck failed to do so before. "Have faith in me, I'm a professional." The male joked which caused her to smile.
"As you wish, Your Highness."
Haneul teased, the two instantly broke into a grin. It was going to be an enjoyable project after all. They were slightly thankful to have each other as partners.

The girl lied on her bed, exhausted after reading pages. So far, she knew the economic background, the royal allies with the family and she just finished the crown prince's coronation.
However, she had no info on who was the future queen at all. Her sister didn't mention any name just yet, but she did say there was a trial for the throne but no specific main character yet.
Haneul skipped a few pages to take a sneak at what would the next chapter be about. To her liking, it was about prince Jeno. She was very curious of the prince who shared the same name with her partner, she wondered about the stories her sister told her.
The girl was even more excited to finish the book, the thought of storytelling somehow excited her for a reason she couldn't fathom. Or maybe she was excited for the prize that awaited her. A lifetime experience, as he would say.
All she could do was pray that her mother would never find out about it. She wished to experience it freely, something she had always wanted to before.
