The moment Jeno opened his eyes and realised he fell asleep on the roof. He grabbed his phone and looked at the time, it was 7:01 am, no wonder they sky was blue.
He got up and sat on the beanbag, ruffling his own hair as he yawned. As he was about to get up and go back inside, he noticed his own partner who was still asleep.
Unknowingly, a smile crept his face as his hand went over to her face. Like before, he tucked her hair behind her ear as a lot of it was covering her peaceful face. However, as soon as her eyelids met with bits ray of sunlight, her eyebrows furrowed.
Haneul turned around and lied flat on her back, she placed an arm above her forehead before finally opening her eyes. Jeno instantly lied back down, to pretend he was still asleep.
This time, he actually felt nervous for a reason he couldn't understand. The girl stretched her arms and groaned slightly, "Oh my God." He heard her say before she stormed out of the rooftop.
As he heard the door shut, Jeno rose. Did something happened? He wondered. He was slightly disappointed he didn't get to mess with her trying to wake him up, maybe she didn't even notice his presence...
Eventually, he had to go back to the room where the rest were asleep, hopefully. He was too lazy to explain anything to them. He kicked the beanbag with disappointment before making his way back.
As he reached the room, he made sure to enter as quiet as he could. Luckily, as he opened the door, everyone was still asleep. They were all there, except for Haneul. He found it strange, but he couldn't just call her, could he?
The boy checked his phone, hoping for a text from her in which he didn't receive any. He decided to sit next to Jaemin's feet, everywhere else seemed occupied.
Funny enough, his eyes went to a new couple who was asleep next to each other. As far as he recalled, these two sat far apart last night how on earth did they ended up falling asleep on the floor next to another? He held back a laugh, and took a picture of the two.
At this point, Jeno was already bored. He was thinking of ways to wake them up but part of his mind was still wondering where Haneul was. His answers came when Donghyuck's phone buzzed from the messages he was receiving.
Though it was an invasion of privacy, but Jeno could tell it must be her. This was the only way for him to get answers. He walked slowly towards the device and read the text from his lockscreen.
HANEUL:
sorry i left early
my dad called last nightIt was too short for any explanation but the cousins must've understood it. Jeno slide down the notifications to get a look at the locksreen. It was, as expected, a picture of the two inseparable cousins.
He assumed it must've been Donghyuck's birthday party as he was a wearing a party hat. His eyes fixed on the girl, she had the brightest smile he had ever seen. Her hair was long, it covered her shoulders that was supposedly exposed from her sleeveless dress.
Haneul had her head rested on Donghyuck's shoulder, as her arms wrapped around his one arm. The two seemed to be laughing when this was captured. As the screen dimmed to dark, Jeno found himself in the reflection. He was smiling, he noticed that he was doing so too much around her.

"Ugh! That was so unnecessary."
Donghyuck groaned, rubbing his eyes. The rest were left restless after Jeno woke them up with a honk toy. The torture eventually stopped when the pillows Jaemin threw finally hit the mastermind.
"Hey, where's Haneul?" Lula asked, her voice a little worried somehow. Jeno wanted to reply but he couldn't risk getting caught so he kept quiet. "Hani's gone?" Yangyang rose up from the other couch in which he earned a pillow in the face by the girl's cousin.
Donghyuck looked at his phone before replying, "She has some problems at home." He said but Jeno wasn't satisfied, he wished Donghyuck would say something further to explain but no one asked further.
He pushed the feelings aside first and was about to ask the rest for breakfast, only he realised they were all falling back asleep. "Hey, hey. Rise!" He exclaimed before he started using the honk again in which everyone was groaning.
They threw everything at him to make him stop and eventually he did as his phone rang. He became a little too excited when he looked at the caller id. "Hello?" He cleared his throat as soon as he realised he sounded too excited.
"You're up already?" Haneul asked, the boy nodded only to realise she wouldn't know if he did. "Uh, yeah." Jeno wanted to slap himself. "Sorry I left without a word, you must've been surprised to wake up alone." She said, sounding apologetic.
Jeno could only smile to himself as only he was aware that he woke up first. "It's understandable." He said. There was silence between them for a moment, both wanted to say something but none would speak first.
"Are you...okay?" He finally asked, which caught the girl by surprise. "I... ah, did Donghyuck tell you?" She asked chuckling lightly. "I'm fine, don't worry." She said and somehow he could picture her smiling. The smile that provided him serenity.
"Anyways, thanks Jeno. I'll make sure to continue the story tomorrow maybe?" She changed the topic instantly. "Alright, see you." The male waited for a while before they ended the call.
"Never have I ever seen you smile so much on your own."
Jeno turned around to find Jaemin. He had left the room to pick up the call before, he was certain everyone must've went back to sleep. Still, Jeno wasn't going to lose composure so easily.
He smiled as a reply, "What do you mean? I always smile." He replied. Jaemin scoffed and crossed his arms. "There's no reason to hide if she's the reason behind." He teased. Jeno's heart was racing as he was afraid that he might've been too obvious. What if Haneul noticed too?
"Don't fret, only an observant like me noticed. The rest are airheads and you two are oblivious." Jaemin placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "What are you talking about?" Jeno asked, he wasn't sure if he interpreted what he said correctly.
"You better grab her now before someone else do." Jaemin said and as if on cue, Donghyuck and Yangyang walked out of the room.
"Stop calling her Hani!" Donghyuck rolled his eyes. "She didn't mind when I did so last night, you're being a whiny baby." Yangyang stuck out his tongue.
