Days turned into weeks and without they realised, their summer break was coming to and end. Jeno thought he would have a better outcome for this summer, but it seemed to be something worse.
He called, he texted, he even went to her house but she was never out. He asked Donghyuck to get any clue but either they boy really didn't know or Haneul told him to not mention anything at all.
Why?
That was the biggest question yet. What went wrong after that night? Was it really his fault? Was he unaware of something he should be yet, why won't she tell him anything?
Jeno was frustrated, he kept looking at his phone throughout the summer, he tried to forget but the feelings were still there. He wanted answers, he was greedy to know why. He liked her very much and the fact that she did too made him delighted so what was stopping them?
He ruffled his hair in frustration and took his phone and he walked out of his room. He didn't need a driver, he was going to run to her house. School was about to start in three days and he had to fix this, he wanted to look at her normally when school starts. He wanted both of them to be comfortable with each other again.
Her house wasn't far, he knew the streets better than her of course and when he reached her residence, of course the walls prevented him from coming in. However, Jeno never intended to climb into her room like before, not in broad daylight. He wanted to call her and look at her at least once, so he'd know she was fine.
He climbed at the side wall, a part hidden from others and behind those walls were the garden which was directly in front of her balcony. The location of her room made it very easy for them to sneak out because there were no cameras in the garden.
He stood behind the walls, but he could see her room from where he was standing. He then dialled her number, waiting but of course, she didn't pick up. Jeno kept the phone, he debated on whether he should just climb into her room, would that be alright?
However, before he could do anything, the door below opened. The first person he saw was Haneul. She looked fine, she didn't look like she was crying before. The girl looked perfect in his eyes but somehow she had a distant look despite the smile she was wearing. A smile she was putting for another guy; Jaehyun.
Jeno had nothing much to see, he could take a wild guess and be correct. He jumped down the walls and decided to walk away. He should've known why she wouldn't contact him. Maybe they put a tragic ending to their story as well.

"Say something."
"You do it."
"Me? You were the one who invited him—"
"I'm not good with words—""Guys, I can hear you." Jeno sighed. The two brothers went silent afterwards. They looked at one another for a moment before Renjun sighed as well and decided to speak on behalf of them.
"Dude, are you okay?" Renjun asked and almost instantly, Yangyang slapped his own forehead. "Don't answer that, of course you're not." Yangyang said and made an unbelievable face at his stepbrother. Renjun raised both of his hands in defence, he tried at least.
Jeno stared down his meal, before looking up to them. "Thanks for the worry, but I can handle this myself." He said. "That's a lie." Yangyang pointed out a fork. "You've been frowning and you look very sad for the past weeks. You don't join us for anything, this isn't you." He added.
As much as Jeno knew he was telling the truth but he wasn't sure how to react or what to say. Would they understand what he went through? They probably think he was overreacting and tell him this was normal when it comes to having feelings.
